Artfully Asian
This card uses Artfully Asian, a set I haven’t used much but, oh my, do I love it — so very versatile with both flowers and leaves and 2 sentiments!!! This started out to be an autumn card for a workshop next week, but ended up in shades of blue, Soft Sky and Blue Bayou — what can I say — when I’m stamping I go where the mood leads me!!! More fun that way!!!! But I’ll still use it for a workshop card.
This layout is from one of the Dare to Get Dirty Challenges of about a month ago. It was Lauren’s Sketch Challenge (mytime). I didn’t do the challenge then, but it’s been on my mind as I’ve seen so many nice cards coming through with this sketch — and now that I’ve done one, oh, do I like it — such a super quick and easy sketch — just what I wanted for today — quick and easy for a workshop!!! Lauren excels at easy and interesting layouts. I’ll be adding her link in the sidebar shortly!
The main image panel was cut 3 3/4 x 3 3/4, image embossed in gold, colored in with the fine tip of the markers, then cut into thirds — so that would make each piece 1 1/4″ wide. The Blue Bayou bottom border is the textured paper — so pleased that SU has come out with such lovely textured paper for us!!! The card base was stamped in tone-on-tone Soft Sky. The ribbon used is Ivory Taffeta and Blue Bayou Double Stitched Ribbon!!! Gotta love SU for all the great ribbons they have recently come out with!!!
That’s it for this one — super quick and easy — and how I love embossing — don’t do it nearly enough. Gold embossing is what first got me hooked on stamping — so how could I NOT love it!!!! Thanks for looking.

Beautiful, Sharon. I hope I’m at that workshop.
This is so pretty! I had to come check out your card and your new blog after you commented on mine in the gallery at SCS. I will be back often to see what other gems you have to share. Thanks for the links to Leslie’s and Holly’s blogs as well. I didn’t know those.
This is such a beautiful and elegant card!! I love the embossing, and the way the panels are pieced. Lovely layout!
Wow I love your blog, I love your cards on SCS, but on here they even look better, if that possible. Very nice, I love it.
Your card is very pretty, I love the panels and the ribbon.
Good Heavens, Sharon! This may be a simple layout, but you have a way of turning simple into extraordinary. I mean, it’s still simple but you make it look so special. Wow! That’s true talent!
Hope we’re doing this for Sue’s!!! So beautiful– these colors are just wonderful together. Love those panels, too!!! Can’t wait!!!
Deb

Love this! Great use of that sketch, Sharon, and I’ll be remembering this one. I really need to use this wonderful set more. Linda
