Charbon Peace

Published by notimetostamp at 12:57 pm under Gina K Projects, Sympathy Cards

This is another card I came up with for the “Just for Fun” classes Iam having this week in honor of World Card Making Day. This one uses the Make A Wish set by Gina K. I just love this flower, and the sentiment, also in the same set, is so perfect for a sympathy card. And, I know, everyone must be so tired of me using this Pomegranate Satin ribbon, but I just can’t help it!!! I LOVE it!!! More is on the way — LOL!!! Other than the stamp set, all products are SU! unless otherwise noted. The Make a Wish set, as well as many others, can be purchased from Gina K here.

For this card I combined designer papers from the Charbon and Holiday Harmony DP packages. I think these go together so well! Love these colors!!! I also used the new Basic Gray Taffeta ribbon, another “must have” ribbon. It is hung from a little hanger in the Pewter Hodgepodge Hardware collection. The flowers are stamped with pad ink, stems colored with marker, blossoms accented with Sakura Quickie Glue Pen and covered with Dazzling Diamonds. Sentiment panel is run across the ink pad to define the edges.

And I really love something on this card that no one can see — LOL!!!! At the seam where the two DP’s join, there are faux cross stitches made with the mat pack, piercer and black marker. They look just wonderful — too bad we can’t see them!!! LOL!!! Hope those who come to class this week like this card!!!
