Thinking of Sweet Miss Daisy
This is a card I did for Sunday’s Featured Stamper, who is Sweet Miss Daisy!!! What a pleasure!!! Now I must tell you, it was with great trepidation I scanned her gallery for a card to case. When I first came to SCS her cards just jumped off the gallery pages at me!!! And we all know why — it was her coloring — her fabulous watercoloring. So, of course, I (a very coloring challenged individual) had to find a card in her gallery requiring NO coloring, and I was SO pleased to find this card, see ithere. (ETA: And the card of Anna’s I cased had been inspired by this card of Val’s (11Valerie11). I neglected to say that originally — sorry, Val! - It’s gorgeous!!!) I had just pulled out this set, thinking that I needed to use it this week for something — so, here it is!
I changed the colors and DP used, I added a row of piercing, and I omitted the sponging. I think this is just the perfect card for this little stamp! Plus I got to use my new Bashful Blue Taffeta Ribbon — I am so loving all of SU’s new ribbons — they are all just heavenly!!! A simple little card, but a classic IMO — thank you Anna!!!
- Stamps: Take Three
- Paper: Bashful Blue, So Saffron, Very Vanilla, LeJardin DP
- Ink: Bashful Blue, Black Stazon
- Accessories: Blue Taffeta Ribbon, So Saffron Brads, Crafter’s Took Kit, Cutter Kit, Mounting Tape
- Measurements: DP strip is 2″high, Very Vanilla sentiment piece is 2.75 x 1.5
Hint: I use a ton of mounting tape. On most cards I attach the main image panel to the card with mounting tape. I love that little bit of elevation it gives, lending a feeling of importance! Plus, it avoids lumps — like ribbon run behind it or the backs of brads, like on this card.
