This card is the ultimate in simplicity — and it’s quick and easy. It fits the open end envelopes by SU. I used 12 x 12 paper to cut the card base. It is one simple image, colored, double matted, and adorned with a gorgeous, wide wired ribbon. I just got this lovely hostess set and I do love it!!! I can see aquick and prettygift set of cards made from this set with its pretty floral images. It so reminds me of two old time favorites — Long Stemmed and Art of Life!!! I love the long, narrow stemmed flowers!!!
My flowers/berries and leaves are colored with reinkers and an aquapainter. I then did the little tips/stems of the berries with the small tip of a Chocolate Chip marker. I used the Old Olive marker’s narrow tip to color in the narrow stem. I added little highlight marks to the berries with the Signo White Gel Pen. Double matted the image, attached to card and tied on a ribbon — that’s it — done in no time!!! I must add, it was this type of a super simple image and card that I first loved to make when I began stamping 8 years ago; however, I didn’t have, and I guess maybe people weren’t using quite as much, all the pretty ribbons back then. Things change over time — and that’s the fun of it!!!
All products are by SU! except the ribbon, which is by Offray from Wal-Mart
