Christmas Tree Scrap Page

This is an 8 x 8 scrapbook page I did for Christmas. Just love that little tree — it looks just like the trees growing in the fields around here and it reminds me of many a tree we’ve had! I chose that piece of DP because for some reason, and probably no one will see this but me, but when I put it up against the red framed tree, it just reminded me of a snowstorm on a dark evening, when everyone is all snuggled inside by the tree!!! Yes, everyone tells me I have a vivid imagination — LOL — but can’t you just feel the cold and see the storm???

All stamps used on this page are from a set by Flourishescalled O Christmas Tree. I love the versatility you can achieve by stamping on a scrapbook page. This cute little page, all ribboned up just like a Christmas present, will hold several photos and a little journaling as well! I see the photos matted with the Real Red and the journaling done on a tag made out of the Marigold Morning! Gee, I wish I had some Christmas photos of little children handy so I could finish the page — I can just see it in my mind!

The tree is stamped in Always Articholeand accented with a Chocolate Chip marker, the balls are stamped in black and colored with a marker, then highlighted with a Signo White Gel Pen. The skirt is paper pieced and the star is punched, then covered with Dazzling Diamonds. The Photo Corner is also punched and attached with brads. The lovely “Christmas” in the lower left corner is also included in the O Christmas Tree set. It’s such a fun set for Christmas with this fun tree and all of its ornaments and several sentiments. It can be seen at Flourishes, and the last time I looked it was on special, when purchased as a kit with some paper and ribbons!!!!

The main image is cut and embossed with a Nestabilities Rectangle Die and the scalloped frame was made with their Rectangle Scallop Die, both being run through the Cuttlebug. The Nestability Dies are available as well at Flourishes.

Autumn Splendor Scrap Pages

Published by notimetostamp under Scrapbook Pages

This is a 2 page, 12 x 12 layout, I did for a class tomorrow with an autumn theme. The pages are overlapped just to make it easier to get a picture. I think the pages have a homey and warm feel, and the fauxcross stitches make me think of a Sampler when I look at these pages!

The leaves you see outside the pages are punched leaves that everyone will make, but they will not be placed/adhered until after the photos are added. They can adorn photo corners or fill in dead spaces. The leaves were punched, little vein lines drawn with a sparkly pen, then heavily sponged in the same color as the paper. Faux stitching was done with the use of the Mat Pack (one of my very favorite tools — use that little thing every single day!), and a white gel pen for the larger stitches and the fine tip of a brown marker for the smaller stitches. On these pages I used the stitches merely as a filler for dead space. The trio panel of leaves are stamped in Timber Brown Stazon and colored with pad ink and an aquapainter, backed with a strip of ribbonand then I added some brads. I think it looks likeit could be a wall hanging! The letters were stamped with a retired color Spectrum Pad, Late November. Spectrum pads are such fun to use!!! and you can’t beat having a large alphabet set on hand to customize any scrapbook page!!!

OH, there’s a fun Color Challenge at SCS today — all pink for Breast Cancer Awareness. And Emily provides a link to an ebay auction — now this will be fun to watch — all the design team for My Favorite Things have made and donated a card (18 in all) in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness and they are being auctioned off as a group. The bid was at $68 when I looked about an hour ago — it’ll be fun to watch and see what it goes for — here’s the link to the ebay auction.
