A Flourishing Christmas

I hope those of you who were waiting for Flourished Christmas to be restocked at Flourishes realize that it is there — so go ahead and place your orders at Flourishes. That is the set I used to make this card — using the tree as well as the Merry Christmas sentiment, which is not fully exposed. I placed it on the designer paper, on that little sheet of stationery, hoping it would looklike it was a part of the DP, and I think it does!

The designer paper used is a 6 x 6 pad by Basic Grey called Periphery — and do I LOVE it!!! It goes so well with all the flourished images in the Flourishes line, and it is available in their store. And I love all the soft shades of blues and neutrals in that pad — it’s really gorgeous paper!!! The blue satin ribbon I used (same as the chocolate and pomegranate by SU) is also available at Flourishes in many more colors as well!!! Additionally, the rectangle Nestabilities that I used on this card are also available at Flourishes. It’s so exciting to see their store getting so well stocked with all these absolutely gorgeous items!!!! It makes it so easy to make a pretty card when you have a nice supply of pretty things to work with!!! And it is just amazing how FAR one little 6 x 6 pad of paper will go — it seems to go on FOREVER, which is a good thing!!!

This was done for the sketch challenge at SCS today. I flipped the sketch, which was a very simple and verstile one! And rather than run my ribbon flat on the paper — up on top, above the tree image, I looped it — again, kind of goes along with my usual thinking of hanging a picture on a wall — I just like the little loopy tag wall hanger for a change! And another pretty and fun element to this card are the pretty Dew Drop clear pebbles I have decorating the tree, but they aren’t showing well in the photo. There is one at the tree top and 8 thoughout the tree — they are very dimensional and pretty — wish you could see them better. I got the Dew Drop pebbles from Ellen Hutson. They were adhered with Crystal Effects by SU.

Thanks much for looking!!! Hope you are all having a great week!!! It’s a gorgeous Halloween day here — unseasonably warm temps and pleasant winds!!!
