Glitter Rejoice
I made this card for Julia’s Ways to Use It Challenge (WT143) today at SCS. The challenge was to use tape in a way other than the standard use of tape. This card also follows the sketch from Card Positioning Systems (CPS42). Flourishes is sponsoring the sketch this week at CPS.
This is a card made to fit the small open end envelopes by SU. It measures 6 5/8 x 3 3/8. I love doing this elongated shape every once in a while! The tape I used for the challenge was double sided carpet tape. I used it to make the glitter window. Merely stamp your image (Rejoice, in this case) on a small rectangle of paper, cover the image with the double sided tape, peel off the sticky on top, and cover it with Dazzling Diamonds — instant razzle and dazzle!!! I then cut the opening in my card with a rectangle Nestability die by Spellbinders and adhered my glittered Rejoice behind it. I made the black frame for my window by using the same die, cutting a piece of black paper just a tad larger than the die, then running it through the Cuttlebug — instant frame! There may be a better way to do this, but I just wanted a narrow frame and this worked for me. My Nestabilites are still new to me, and I’m just having fun playing with them!!! So many cool things you can do with them!!!
This was a great sketch from CPS, my stamps were all from Flourishes, and the Nestabilities are by Spellbinders. 1/2 pearls were in the SU Pretties Kit and my May Arts black velvet ribbon was also from Flourishes.
