Stamp Simply Challenge #20 - Pretties

Challenge #20 - Keyword ssnotime20 - There is no time limit. You can play this challenge and upload your project at Splitcoast and/or your Blog, anytime at all!  You can play as many times as you like!!!  The point is to keep it simple, quick and have fun!!!  Please link back here.

Today’s challenge is to use your very prettiest things — whatever they may be!!!  Have you ever heard me say, “If you USE pretty things, you don’t have to DO much”?  I believe that is so, so true and it is the premise behind a ton of my cards.  Let those beautiful things shine through!!!  So that’s it — pull out what you consider to be your prettiest things, whatever they may be - papers, ribbons, pins, buttons, brads, embellishements - whatever, and make your card with them — KEEPING IN MIND that the idea is to keep it simple, let the beautiful things you choose take center stage.  I often feel some of the simplest cards are the most beautiful — let’s see how simple and beautiful we can keep it today!!!  And tell us about the favorite beautiful things you are using, OK?

Please note — I realize that *pretty* isn’t the same to each person — go with your own style — don’t try to mimic someone else’s pretty — whatever is *it* for you is fine — just grab your nice things, use them, and keep it simple.  Whether you stamp on your project or not is up to you — no hard rules here, just have fun!

Remember when you upload to use the keyword above, followed by a comma.  Please come back here to post (as a comment) that you’ve played, and provide a link so I can check out your card right away. You can find all cards uploaded for this challenge by clicking Gallery Submissions Here.

Some wanting to play said they have never uploaded before.  If that’s you and you need help uploading,  just go to my Challenge No. 1 here.

This is my sample - super simple!!!  I used Primsatics paper by Prism - just love their soft colors and texture.  The gorgeous, vintage look DP is from the Stella Ruby pad by Basic Grey.  It reminds me of vintage fabric.   The sentiment is from Open to Love, a fun set by Flourishes.  The gorgeous velvet ribbon is by May Arts and the stick pin is made from the Pretties Kit by SU.  It’s hard to see, but in the upper right corner there is a Cuttlebug Die Cut fancy corner.   Not much to explain on this one — pretty visible.

This stamp set is available at Flourishes, and they also carry gorgeous velvet ribbon in a variety of colors and a great selection of the Basic Grey 6 x 6 pads.

  • Stamps:  Open to Love by Flourishes

  • Paper:  Prismatics by Prism:  Perfect Baby Pink, Suede Brown Medium.  Stella Ruby 6 x 6 pad by Basic Grey.

  • Ink:  Versa Fine Onyx Black

  • Accessories:  Velvet Ribbon, Pretties Kit by SU, Cuttlebug and corner die, Mounting Tape.

That’s it for today!!! Hope you can find some time to play this weekend!!!  I always LOVE to see what you all come up with!!!  Thanks for stopping in and have a great weekend!!!!
