Vintage Nursery

This is a card I did a few weeks ago for Jami’s swap and we couldn’t post until the swaps were out.  I still haven’t received my box, but I am so anxiously waiting!!!  Thank you girls!!!  I called this Vintage Nursery because these colors look so vintage to me - this makes me think of vintage baby.  I had to use the colors from the Boho West color scheme in the SU catalog and Nursery Necessities.  Here it is:

jami-swap-jan08-540-wm-notime.jpg

The base is Chocolate Chip, with a Purely Pomegranate layer on top and then the white panel, stamped with Pretty in Pink using the Floral background stamp, edges lightly sponged to finish and soften.  I used the corner rounder with the guard removed to create the scallop and used the Crop-a-dile to punch the holes.

The moon is stamped in Craft Regal Rose and embossed with Iridiscent Ice.  The inner circle is punched out with the 1 3/8″ punch and the outer circle can be punched with a 2″ punch (non SU) or cut out with the Coluzzle.  It is then mounted onto a 2 1/2″ circle (again, using a non-SU punch or the Coluzzle).  On this Pomeganate circle I stamped a few stars in the same color ink, outlined with a glue pen and sprinkled on Dazzling Diamonds.  The star is stamped onto white paper with Chocolate Chip ink, classic, as I didn’t have Craft.  Then to emboss it with the Iridescent Ice, I first punched it out and then I had to smoosh it into a Versa Mark pad, and it worked great!!!  The sentiment is also from Nursery Necessities.  The ribbon is the Chocolate Taffeta!!!  I LOVE this set!!!

  • Stamps:  Nursery Necessities, Floral
  • Paper:  Chocolate Chip, Purely Pomegranate, Whisper White
  • Ink:  Pretty in Pink, Purely Pomegranate, Chocolate Chip, Versa Mark, Black Stazon, Craft in Regal Rose
  • Accessories:  Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder, Glue Pen, Dazzling Diamonds, Taffeta Ribbon, Star Punch, 1 3/8″ Punch, Coluzzle, Corner Rounder, Crop-a-Dile, Sponge, Dimensionals

That’s it for tonight!!!  A little SU gift set of some sort is next on my list, and then some Flourishes new releases soon to come!!! Can’t wait!!!  Thank you so much for stopping in!!!

This is so pretty, love the colors you used on this card, not the normal, but it is so Victorian, very pretty.
