Bloomin’ Distress
The title sounds bad, but it wasn’t — actually, it was totally FUN to make this card!!! It is a card I made using Bloomin’ Beautiful from the SU Occasions Mini and I had fun distressing it — lots of fun!!! Hence, the name. This is a card we will do at a workshop this week — hope they like it! Here it is:
My inspiration for this card came, obviously, from the sample shown in the Occasions Mini. The image is stamped on watercolor paper (3″ x 4″)with Black Stazon and colored with ink refills and an aquapainter. Then I stamped over it with the Sanded background stamp in Chocolate Chip. The edges were then distressed with the distressing tool on the Cutter Kit — love that little thing!!! And I like to make my corners separate into layers and curl them!!! I then took a piece of black (3.5″ x 4.5″) and stamped French Script (I don’t have the newer En Francais) in Black (hard to see, but I know it’s there - LOL!), used the Spiral Punch on the left edge and crumpled it up really good in my hands, really working it until it was soft and pliable. I then adhered both pieces together, off-kilter as shown, wrappedwith ribbon and mounted to my card. Oh, the card was stampedwith the definition stamp in the set in More Mustand — hard to see. Then the bee is stamped onto Very Vanilla, colored, circle punched and mounted on a nice fat Pot Dot.
Coloring this will take a bit of time for a workshop card, but Ijust really wanted to have them do it — thisis such a pretty and fun set!!!
