Stamp Simply Challenge #26 – Pierce It!
Before I start,I have a Blog Candy post justbelow this one andsign ups arerunning until midnight on Monday — so please signup if you haven’t — it’s a greatprize!!!
Keyword ssnotime26-There is no time limit. You can play this challenge and upload yourproject at Splitcoastand/or your Blog, anytime at all! You can play as many times as you like!!! The point is to keep it simple, quick and have fun!!! Please link back here.
The challenge this week is to pierce your paper. That’s it, no other rules. Any kind of piercing goes — simple lines, pierced scallops, fancy piercing with templates, anything at all — just poke some holes in your paper and have fun!!! You could even pierce with your sewing machine!!! Personally, I love to pierce — it’s so much fun and adds such interest. If you don’t have a piercer, try a T-pin, or even a larger safety pin — it’s fun!!! Try to remember our overall theme, and keep it simple!!!
Julie Koerberssampleison her blog hereand it includes a fabulous tutorial. Be sure to check it out!
And I’m so thrilled Dee Jackson is joining us in making samples as well, known over at SCS as stampincuziluv2. She does gorgeous work!!! Thanks so much, Dee!!! So happy to have you joining us!!! Dee’s sample is on her blog hereand you won’t believe the design she pierced without a template — very creative!!! Check it out!!!
And my super simple sample is below.
Remember when you upload to use the keyword above, followed by a comma. Please come back here to post (as a comment) that youve played, and provide a linkso I can check out your card right away. You can find all cards uploaded for this challenge by clicking Gallery Submissions Here.
Some wanting to play said they have never uploaded before. If thats you and you need help uploading, just go to my Challenge No. 1 here.
Really, really simple was all I had in me tonight, so I pulled out a pretty new image from SU, quickly colored it with ink refills and a blender pen. The DP is retired SU, not sure of the name — maybe Holiday Harmony??? The ribbon is retired SU as well. The set, Bloomin’ Beautiful, is in the current Occasions Mini — gorgeous set!!! Using my mat pack, I did some super simple piercing around the perimeter of the framed image. So simple to do, and it adds so much interest.
- Stamps: Bloomin’ Beautiful, Itty Bitty Backgrounds
- Paper: Blush Blossom, Purely Pomegranate Textured, Watercolor, retired SU DP
- Ink: Black Stazon, reinkiners to color
- Accessories: Ribbon, Glue Pen, Dazzling Diamonds, 1 1/4 and 1 3/8″ punches, Paper Piercer and Mat Pack, Pop Dots
This is an easy one – hope you can find some time to play this weekend!!! Have a great one and thanks so much for stopping in — pleaese remember my post just below is still acitive and it’s BLOG CANDY — have you signed up???

I love your card and you inspired me to get out my new Bazzill In Stitch’z template. the only problem was I hated how it looked without the stitches so I stitched (hanging my head low). But your challenge inspired me- and I did pierce (before I stitched!) http://stampdetails.blogspot.com/2008/03/double-challenge-card.html
Love the way you spaced the holes closer together in the corners! Beautiful card!

It’s difficult to see in the photo, but there’s piercing in all 4 corners around the dahlia and also in a long line on the Ruby Red layer. Thanks for the challenge!
I LOVE paper piercing!!! I do it ALL the time… Here is my project – I stamped the back of a 12×12 cardstock and then poked away. It made a fun background for this (unfinished) scrapbook page: http://desiree-at-play.blogspot.com/2008/03/recently-at-workshop-i-wanted-to-show.html
Thank you for the challenge!
