SU Blog Candy

Well, I have to eat my words!!! I promised you we’d start a 10 Minute Tuesday card each Tuesday, and I didn’t even have 10 minutes today — we’ll try to start next week!!!

So, instead of a card today, how about some Blog Candy!!!  What I have to offer you is one brand new SU set — Define Your Life.  I’ll edit this post to add a photo in the morning.

So, to sign up for Define Your Life — just comment below, and tell me what color cardstock you seem to be grabbing for cards at this time of year!

This Blog Candy post will remain open until midnight on Saturday night, April 26, at which time I will have a random number generator pick the winner.

Thanks much!!!  Good luck!!!

Just love the wonderful ideas on your blog. You are such an inspiration. I’m really enjoying Gable Green right now–so bright, and fresh and Springlike.
A close second is Blush Blossom–it’s become a real favourite that I reach for often and goes with so much.

Thanks for such a fun contest.

I’ve been using a lot of kraft color for my card base - sounds boring, but I love how I can mount something bright or soft on it and the colors of the stamping are always the focal point.

I’ve been grabbing whatever I fancy at the time - a whole variety of colours. It always depends on my mood :-)

I have been using Soft Sky a lot lately–It looks elegant with black and springy with certainly celery but always seems like a fresh choice. I need to restock before it’s gone. :-) Thank you for the chance at blog candy and also for the wonderful inspiration you provide on your blog.

  24. Karen D.on 22 Apr 2008 at 7:26 am link comment

The colour that I seem to be going for lately is the celery greens (sorry I don’t have the SU cardstock). They have such a fresh feel to them and we have been waiting a long time for spring to arrive here in Canada.

What? No ten minute card? I could have used a ten minute card this morning but I can take blog candy instead. Especially since i really want that set.

I have been going for black a lot to make my images/sentiments pop more. And it goes with any color. Other than that, I haven’t been picking any color over another more often. (It’s usaully whatever cardstock I have more of at the time! lol)

  27. Amanda Angerton 22 Apr 2008 at 7:35 am link comment

I’ve been grabbing River Rock a lot lately. It’s a great neutral for card bases!

Hard to answer that question, but if I had to, I’d say turquoise. Frequently I choose my cs to match a patterned paper that I’m using. Groovy Guava is definitely one that I’ve enjoyed, though. Thanks again for your inspiration, Sharon!

I love the 10-minute card idea!

All my cards lately include oranges, yellows, or lavender. I sneek in light green here and there, too.

EVERYTHING has polka dots included either in the paper, stamp, or ribbon. I don’t usually do polka dots.
I didn’t even realize it until a friend said, “Boy, all your cards have polka dots. I love it!”

Polka dots just make me smile!

I just looked at my gallery, and I think the most common color I’ve been using is green (certainly celery or wild wasabi)…it just seems to *go* with everything…..maybe it’s because all the trees are starting to bloom and everything is getting *greener* outside every day…very exciting! :)

Gosh, it seems like I’ve been using Wasabi (SU) and Regal Rose (SU) lately. Wish Spring and Mother’s Day that seems to be the main two colors. If I’m not using these, I’m reaching for some blues as well. Love, love, love your blog!!

Hi Sharon, your work is always so elegant, I get so much inspiration from many of your cards. Right now, here in Oregon, we are having record cold temps - it’s the same in April as it was in January, doggone it!! But my colors have been inching towards spring - Always Amethyst, Blush, Soft Sky, Pretty in Pink, Red Rose or Pomegranate (not necessarily all at once). Anyway, thank you again!!

I’m still lovin’ Chocolate Chip… combining that with almost anything else is just a fab combination!

What wonderful blog candy! For colors, I am stuck on Soft Sky. With anything. But I just can’t get away from this color! Unless it’s to combine it with Blue Bayou, but that’s too wintery. For now I’m moving toward Soft Sky with a hint of celery and other soft subtles…

Sharon - what awesome blog candy! As winter SLOWLY fades from the Pacific NW (jiminy cricket, we had snow this weekend!) I reach for green. Along the lines of: “Behind every blade of grass is its very own angel that forever whispers, grow grow grow.” (The Talmud) - Certainly Celery is always a fav - recently I have fallen in love with Old Olive and I want something pinkish growing on the end of the green… Oh! and anything that goes well with Real Red!
