Here’s the Blog Candy I mentioned — I picked up 2 packs of goodies fromMaking Memoriesat CHA and thought someone out there might like them! It’s kind of a conglomeration, but all by Making Memories.

Oooh, this is difficult. I don’t have a favorite of any card type…I love layered cards and pretty cards, but I also love cutesy and humorous cards. If it’s a simple card, something really needs to stand out to make it special. Cards with embellishments are nice…I gives me a chance to see what’s new that I may not have seen yet. I’ve become much more of a clean and simple stamper I think. I used to feel like a card had to have a thousand layers and embellishments to be worth anything, but now I’m drawn to one layer cards that really emphasize the stamps. It’s quicker, less stressful, and cheaper!
There are so many types of cards I like to make but layering is one of the things I like to do. What great candy!

I like to make card that are pretty with lots of layers and ribbon. I put ribbon om most of the cards I make, but the last few I have made I have used my nestabilities and less ribbon. Now having said that I aols like to make all type of cards and try new things.
Many times I ask friends to pick several cards or a set of cards they would like to have as a gift. I have noticed elegant and simple are the most popular. Not sure if that says I do better with that style or if that is just what most people prefer. But it sure is fun once in awhile to use several layers and embellishments. Sometimes ugly but always fun.
I love doing cards with many layers, and if it calls for something 3D, I do that, too. I like vintage. I like distressed. I like clean and simple. Really, I like all styles.
Oh, how yummy!!! I love making pretty, elegant cards that lean towards clean and simple. A couple of layers, and usually some ribbon or a little bling. I haven’t mastered the distressed look yet.
Hmmm..my favorite is probably vintage, like Stampsmith. I haven’t been making them much lately, but I have to say I love the old time look of photostamps. I guess Distressing is a big part of it too. Great question! Thank you for the chance to win your wonderful blog candy!!!
I think I am pretty simple. I love playing so I try to add something different to the cards, I just made a very simple Bella card… but I added beads on the dress. lol.. check out my blog to see.

Gosh, thats really hard…. I guess it would have to be clean and simple, then again, I like art cards , grundgy, bright,…. you name it! Just call me a everything but the kitchen sink kind of stamper! Thanks for the chance to win.

For my cards, I am definitely clean and simple. Even if I have a few layers some distressing, I tend to still stay on the clean and simple type of designs.

Wow! This is a tough decision. If I can only pick one, I’d say lightly distressed layers, simply sweet and elegant. That just about sums it up.
I love clean and simple and elegant cards. I’m just not good at foo-foo-ing up a card, so I stick with clean and simple. I leave the foo-foo for my momma (Joan Ervin)! LOL
I love the elegant cards made with touches of ribbon [like the ones made with Scarlet’s Letter paper], but I love vintage also. So much fun to distress and give that antique look to. Love your work!

What fabulous candy!!! *Ü* I would have to say that my favorite cards to make lately are clean and simple cards. They take the least amount of time and I think sometimes make the most impact.
I love to make cards with many layers and lots of embellishments – i try very hard to use metal and ribbon on every card, and use the design triangle.

Those are some goodies! I personally like to make flowery elegant cards with scroll or script type font sentiments. Those are my favorites. I would follow that up with clean and simple type cards. You know, the no fuss no muss type cards.

I find that no matter how many techniques I learn or materials I have,
I enjoy making clean and simple designs most of all or simple elegant.
I would say that 95% of the cards I make are either vintage or distressed. I am not into cute and very seldom make simple and elegant cards.

Really, I am all over the place. I like simple, but always feel like I am missing something. I’ll get there I hope! I don’t really feel like I have a style yet? Does that make sense? 🙂 Thanks Sharon for gin these away, so sweet.
I like to look at vintage and heavily layered cards.
But I tend to make clean and simple graphic cards.
I like to go heavy on the layers with lots of dimensionals and paper piercing. I’m not sure if there’s an official name for my style. I just stamp suits my mood at the time.
I’m torn between distressed and vintage but I know most of my family likes to receive more traditional or cutsie type cards.
Since I make many cards to send to our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan, I tend to make easy cards that I can mass produce. However, I love to make special cards for friends and family and experiment with ribbons and brads and layers. Lately I’ve been on a “cupcake kick” – pink and brown cupcakes. YUM!
Yummy looking candy! I make encouragement type cards that hopefully would brighten someone’s day. It can be fun to elegant.
I like the simple elegant cards the best. I am a beginner and have not developed a “style” yet.
I think I like all styles of cards. The thing that matters to me is the overall apperance of the card and does it Wow you when you see it. I have been WOW’d by plain and simple to heavily layered.

My favorite thing to make are layered cards with embellishments like ribbon or vellum tags but they MUST have stamping on the front. With the kind of investment I have in rubber, I would be too embarrassed to send a card without something stamped!!
I don’t know if I have a favorite type of card to make. I like to make a lot of different styles of cards. I really like cards with many layers and ribbon.
Other days I like simple cards but find them harder to make for some reason.
I really like tailored. Classic and simple, with a touch of elegance. Not sure if I make this card, but i strive for it each and every time…

Lately, I’ve had fun making little 2×3 cards with smaller stamp sets and sayings. I bundle 4 or so cards together, tie a ribbon around them, and give them to friends. The best part? I don’t mind if they are regifted!
It’s the gift that keeps on giving.
I LOVE to try and make cards that suit the personality of the person I am giving them to. It really challenges me to step outside of what I like, at least for certain people.
Hmm. I don’t know what I’d call it, but I love cards that are a little bit fun, usually with color, and a little bit sophisticated, not excessively cutesy. Sophisticated fun? Like a mad hatter cake: clean lined but fun and colorful.

Have to say I enjoy clean and simple or elegant and layered the most. I have decided recently that I really must get back to more clean and simple. My stash of cards for gifts and hostess gifts seems to be at an all time low!
I love elegant simple cards. However, I can’t make them. I put way too much stuff on mine. I can’t make a card without ribbon. Okay, every now and then but it is rare. I love the cards you make. I also love Leslie Miller’s style. When I grow up I want to be a hybrid of the two of you! LOL Thanks for all your great tutorials and I love the new stamp simply line of Flourishes. My absolute fav is pretty and elegant — lots of florals and layers. I keep telling myself I have more than enough flower stamps, but they keep jumping into my shopping cart! They’re so fun to color.
Hmm. . .usually I love the heavily layered and embellished cards, but lately I’ve been in a simple mood — one layer, one ribbon, simple and bold stamps. Maybe it’s the hot summer that’s causing me to strip off the excess, but I sure do get a lot more cards done this way! 🙂

I tend to make the cards geared towards who I am giving them to, but I like to recieve pretty and elegant ones.
I guess I am a bit different. #1 I let the stamp set dictate what type of card it will be and the mood I am in when stamping. It really changes from stamp set to stamp set and how much time I have to put into it. I really do a lot of five minute cards so……I guess I am a quick and easy stamper.
I prefer a clean, simple look………once in a while I like to do a color-blocked layout.

I received lots of cards where time was taking to make sure stuff is straight, it’s kind of disappointing, all that work.

I like cards with dimension that’s why I usually have die cuts, ribbons, rhinestones or buttons. I also like clean and simple cards; something that’s not too busy. And most of all, I love stamped images on cards although I’m not really good at it…yet. 😀
When I first started stamping I liked to color -cut -glitter- CUTE images. Now I like to color and exacto out the image- pop dot it -add some sparkle to just about any stamp I have. Thanks for shareing.

I love to start with a piece of white glossy paper … some ink .. a brayer and some pearl ex powders and create some interesting background paper … and then I love to use that as the first layer on my card .. I love distressing and many layers .. and flowers!

I love flowers and bright springy colors and anything to make it more feminine, whether it’s ribbon, lace, pearls, scallops or all of the above!
I like clean and simple, not too many layers, not too much busyness. But I do like a little sparkle, either from shimmer chalk or glitter pen or Stickles. Also, I like to make “larger” cards, 5 x 7 or 5.5 x 8.5, especially if it’s a birthday card, wedding card, or sympathy card. Thank-you notes I do A2. Great question. As my talent does not compare to yours, I like making any card that makes me feel good, and proud to send to someone. I have a lot of cards I put in the trash, but the ones that make it to the mailbox are my favorite.

I love interactive style of cards. They are my favourite to make. Another favourite are the simple/easy cards…ones that will make up quickly, but look great!

I love the elegant cards. Those are the best! and yeah, i like my card complicated somehow and sometime colorful. I just love adding some extra things on my card such as ribbon, many many layers.
I don’t care so much about what I put on the card as the type of fold it has. I like them to be top folds. They sit up better.

My favorite type of card to make would definitely be pretty, colorful, blingy or elegant cards. And I’ve really been enjoying trying out new ways of folding the card stock rather than the standard.
I love all cards, but love the elegant cards using the cuttle bug for embossing. Color, no favorite, but do like most.
Have been trying to find time to make more detailed folded cards and using more layers.

I didn’t really like to make cards at first!!! But now I love to make them. It really doesn’t matter the style! I am having a Christmas in July workshop this Saturday, with 17 planning on attending. I can hardly wait to see all their cards that they will be bringing!

My favorite style of card to make is heavily layered, with brads and my signature Ribbon Blossom!! I feel that between lots of layers and the Ribbon Blossom, I can choose to accentuate a certain color, a certain ‘style’ (aged, bright, subtle, etc.), or a certain emotion in a card. Above all, though, I try to keep in mind just how the person receiving it will feel when they first see it—if I feel I’ve ‘hit’ that feeling when I’m finished, that’s a perfect ending to some creative time!

I really do like to do quick, easy simple cards. I do like adding a little extra either ribbon, brads, glitter just something to make it standout.
Clean and simple. I can do other styles, but they just aren’t “me” LOL!
Thats some yummy candy! My favorite style of cards is simple and clean, but I just can’t seem to do them. I start off with that in mind and just have to keep adding to the card, lol!
What I like are monochromatics , with texture & shimmer but all one colour.
I also like All one colour cards then there is a burst of another colour somewhere on the card. I like cards that that have layers and ribbon and embellishments. Not too much embellishment but enough to make the card pop.

I love making the ‘white’ card! I like to stamp directly on the card and do my coloring on that is what I mean. So I guess you would call that the ‘simple’ card? LOL! I kike making several different styles, but I would have to sa my favorite is simple elegance.
I like simple layers. That way I can make it pop with ribbon or brads or an embossed background.
I have to say for card I love simple and elegant. I love sheer ribbon or just a touch of satin ribbon to give the card some class. (Now for scrapping I am just the opposite –embellies all the way!!!)

I love making cards and find that I am drawn to clean, classic shapes. I love all colors and love to add flowers, diecuts and ribbon to make the cards lots of fun! My new fave is making more funny cards. The older I get, the more fun and silly my friends and I need to be!

I’m new to cardmaking and haven’t discovered my “style” yet, I collect antiques and love the vintage,distressed,layered and embellished cards made by others.
So many types of cards! Choosing one style to favor is difficult. I would say a classy image is my favorite. And I seem to use ribbon with every card I make, so that is a favorite, too.
I think that my cardmaking style runs to: distressed, but I also like simple. Not necessarily clean & simple. Can you do distressed & simple?!?

I love to receive handmade cards. My favorite to make and give are simple, usually stamped, dainty embellishments. I especially love to make Christmas cards for family and friends. I like when I am able to use ribbon on my cards, as I have two boys, and do not get to do all those cute girly pages. Anytime I can scrapbook and make cards is a happy time.
Hmmm. I never really thought about it before – I guess it would have to be both simple and layered.

I love layering– I think layers really make a card more rich by adding dimension and possibly more color…it gives weight to the design and can highlight the image so much nicer…
I love “busy” cards. To me, less is a bore. I love printed paper, elegant stamps, ribbons, chipboard, silk flowers. Cutesy cards are probably my least favorites – no farm animals, children (kewpie dolls are good, though.) BTW – I love your work! Thanks so much for sharing!

Hi Sharon – it looks as though you had a wonderful time at CHA – thanks for sharing about it all. The type of cards I like to make depends a little on how much time I have available! If I have plenty of time, I like to do a lot of coloring of images, otherwise, something that I can put together quickly. I love bright, clean colors, and I like my cards to be elegant, and precise.

Sharon, my very favorite card to make is Vintage with sweet and simple elegance and a touch of class! I love layers, texture, inked edges and distressed embelishments. More and more, i am using chip board and adding glitter, embossing powders, etc to make unique embelishments. now, i am dabbling in clear cards and think i could really fall in love with acetate. thanks for sharing!
I love the clean and simple cards because they are so much easier to make and quick as well. I think we think that we have to put tons of layers, embellishments, etc. to make a wow card, but the truth is simple is eloquent and lovely…

Does Quick & Easy count? I am always late and having to throw together a card as I go out the door! Anything that is quick and easy works for me! I am not much for the cards that are too froo-froo! All that extra gives me a headache. Keep mine very clean and neat!

That’s a tough question. I think I like to make clean/simple cards, but I gravitate toward pretty/elegant when I am searching around for inspiration. I am just not yet there at making pretty/elegant my self. I will keep trying however.

Well I hate to admit it but to me more is better. Once I begin a card I just plain get carried away. I always have to use some “technique” to “enhance” the card. I end up spending hours on a single card. I’m nuts — but at least I know it. Thanks for the blog candy.

My favorite type of card to make is one that looks like it took hours to make. I don’t like ‘clean and simple’ cards because I think ‘it looks like it took only minutes to make’ or ‘is too easy’ and then looks like the person really didn’t care enough to take the time to make a really great card in the first place. I think if your going to go thru all the trouble to make a card, then make a GREAT one, or why make one at all–just send a store bought card.

I like clean and simple with great paper as background. I stamp by myself so I only get ideas from blogs such as this. I love to see others ideas but many cards seem so complex and how do you mail them – you need large envelopes with extra postage? Clean and simple with color.
This is hard…I actually like two best…simple and elegant and heavily layered. I pretty much go back and forth between these. And I always use white cards. I honestly can’t pick one style, it depends on my mood. Most of the time my cards are pretty clean, because they are usually made with the intent to give it to someone…but when I make things for myself they tend to be a bit more grundgy/scrappy! lol!

I’m a clean and simple card maker (CASEr). Although I love layers, I’ve never been into distressing the edges. I have learned that clean and simple does not always equal quick and easy.

I love cards that have texture – cuttlebugging, embellishments, crimped paper, and different textured type papers. Or at least an apprearance of texture, as in corner punches that resemble wrought iron.
As for the sentiment, if it is appropriate, I prefer humorous ones. The image that sets the theme, can generally be anything pretty – I tend to choose flowers and insects but if the recipant isn’t into that, I will choose something else.
I like the wowy but very simple and clasy cards. I like to use embellishements but not too many at a time. The making memories blog candy looks like fun. Christmas in July! Thanks for a chance to win,

Whether I’m receiving or giving, the card I’d like would be soft pink, lavendar or yellow with dotted swiss embossed on vellum, some scalloped edging, a coordinated see-thru ribbon with a hanging accessory, stamped on white paper would be flowers or a child ie: Stampavie or High Hopes or Anna Wright , layered on a contrasting cs and a matching colored card. Whew! Sounds good, eh?

I like cards that read clean and simple but I try to give them a little depth so that as you look closer you notice subtle details…love the cuttle bug for that and also background stamps with versamark or matching ink…it’s there but it doesn’t scream “look at me!” at the first glance. I’d say clean & simple is the type of card I prefer to make. I’ll use the cricut & some stamps, but they’re not usually overly busy.

I use to do all that dry embossing by hand.
Awesome blog candy! I think my favorite type of card to make is one with several layers, has some sort of “bling” on it, and inked edges of all layers.
I love layers. I can’t really even make a flat one-layer card anymore:( The scallop craze has not escaped me and I like to add a border or scalloped edge when possible. I like the clean type of card, not a grunge style, and not cutsie. Flowers and swirls rank pretty high for me, too:) Love your site – thanks for sharing your talents with us – I can sit and look at blogs for hours if I let myself! Now to put some of those ideas into my creations.

My favorite style is clean and simple. i lve to just stick a piece of paper through my embossing folder and then wrap a ribbon around it and mail it. Its so simple and so pretty.

My favorite way is anyway I feel at the time, I love vintage but am not real good at that. I do a lot of cutesy cards and I love a lot of detail. I love to color in images. Gamsol magic is my new favorite way of coloring.

Holy cow — what great blog candy! I LOVE clean and simple, but I’m not always great stepping away. Ever since I discover Papertrey’s stamper’s select white cardstock, I’m hooked on white card bases. No need to mat the inside then since any marker will show.

I tend to make the simple cards with a couple of layers. I really love the look of using black as a thin, accent layer behind the other colors used….it really makes them “pop”

Since I scraplift a LOT from awesome blogs like yours :), my style changes. Currently I like to create FAST AND SIMPLE because I have 2 young kids and a puppy. But I’m drawn to examples of elegant and victorian with lots of layers and pink…probably because I NEVER have time to do these myself.

I get bogged down with too many layers, my favorite type of card to make is simple and beautiful, using mostly florals, beautiful paper and ribbon, and I love pearl or glitter embellishments. Elegant and clean. It doesn’t have to be simple but I tend to like it
to look simple. Definitely classic, but not always! The truth is, I like to create in a lot of different styles (and to see different ones). Cards are fun because we can play and try different things. It isn’t like commiting
to a look in a house. Or even to who we are as individuals. It is about creative process and idea generation.
I would have to say my style is more clean and simple than anything. I love layers, but my cards tend to be more “non-cluttered.” Thank you for sharing your talent with all of us. Your work is fabulous!

I am not sure how to define my style. I guess I am all over the place at times, but the bottem line is, it has to look good and make you want to say WOW when you see it. I love simple, and elegant with layers. I like ribbon and bling depending on the card. Like I said, I am all over the place.
I love stamping and trying all kinds of techniques.
I think clean and simple is what I do. I love other styles, but just can’t pull them off as well as others! Can’t wait to see this stuff on store shelves!
I seem to personally always lean towards the elegant style cards. However, I have fun trying new ideas and have a blast stamping things for my kids also.
I think ‘differen’t would be me, I strive to make my current card look different from the last, like to use different embellishments [dig through my stash] I get bored easily so I like to try something different all the time! these are great goodies – thanks!
My favorite to make would have some type of paper engineering on it, in it, around it, you know!

Yikes, so may comments! My favorite style of cards is clean and crisp, with some nice embellishment, but not overdone. Love the combination of black and white with just about any other color.
What I try for is pretty/elegant or simple and classy, but sometimes I get carried away with all the embellishments and bling available. So many goodies … so little time!

My favorite style of cards to make is simple. I’ve tried making them with more on them and I’m never happy with the results. Always end up taking it apart and starting over. I guess I feel guilty at the amount of stuff I have and I want to justify purchasing it and use it all at once. LOL!!!

My fave cards are heat embossed and dry embossed also. I love using glitter, rhinestones, and stickles when making cards. In the future I plan on trying out flock. People love it when I use Bible verses on my cards so they can display them all year long. My favorite card was both heat embossed and dry embossed with a bible verse that was embossed also. I absolutely love whimsical cards with funny sayings. I don’t want the card to be too simple yet I don’t want it to be overbearing with “stuff”.
After several years of making ‘arty’ cards I have returned to the simplicity of a well designed card with a central image, enhanced by layers and embossing. I love you tulip card – the layout is exquisite

I love well designed complex cards (as opposed to “too busy” complex cards) like vintage collage, but I tend to be better at the clean and elegant style (usually it involves a solid colour base with a bit of shabby chic thrown in for that “aaaah” moment 🙂
Any card that I can put “ribbon” on….works for me. Tend to lean towards floral w/vintage or distressed finishes. I enjoy your blog!!

Lately it’s been a struggle to just make ANYTHING, ughhhh….I need to get back into stamping more often, if only LIFE would keep getting in the way, eh? 😉

This is sort of difficult for me, I love to make cards, it’s my therapy. I think my favorite are crisp clean cards, that are simple to make, yet are classy! Of course, they havae to havae some sort of embellishment! :0)
