BLOG CANDY #6 – Coffee Time!
The Blog Candy I am offering today is a Stamp Simply set called Coffee with Friends. It’s a very versatile set with a variety of mugs, the largest of which is a paper piecer’s dream!!! Here it is:
And with the Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons approaching, I like to get a few things made ahead when time isn’t so rushed. Today I decided to make a tag (I LOVE to make tags for gift baskets) for a coffee themed gift basket that could be given either at Thanksgiving or Christmas. Here it is:
I colored the stack of cups with my Copics and just added a few fun things to my tag. First of all, the background is stamped with one of the sentiment stamps in the set, and the little oval tag on top is a new die (new to me) I got from Spellbinders called Tag 5. It is one plate with 5 tags in it, so you are cutting 5 at one time — kind of nice!!! I have riveted 2 of them together, and they open so you can write your To and From on the inside white tag. I also got some new acrylic pieces, and having never used them before I know I wasn’t overly creative here, but I had fun. There’s just a clear button over the heart with a ribbon run through both the heart and clear button — it was fun!

I love the Coffee with Friends. I love to make tags. And the coffee cups will just fit! I use the tags on my own spice jars, canisters, etc that sit out on my countertop in my kitchen. Now, I will know how to make the perfect one for my Coffee canister. Thanks for all you do. LC

I’m a coffee-holic and love all things java, including coffee related stamps! This set is so great and versatile! My favorite coffee treat is Vietnamese coffee- rich, creamy, sweet (which I normally don’t do for am coffee) and so cool over ice- it’s like drinking liquid coffee ice cream-YUM!

I love COFFEE and I love this stamp SET. I too love tags and have made a few in the past for Christmas. I ran out of time last year so I am planning on making them earlier this year. I must admit I didn’t think about making the tag “match” the gift, but I like the idea. Thanks for sharing.

How Fun!!! This stamp reminds me of the iced cappacinos that I craved when I was pregnant. I could only drink them in moderation, so I would treat myself to one when I went to the Dr.s.

Adorable tag! This set has my name all over it. I work shift work, so coffee is my survival companion at the wee hours of the morn. lol I just love the taste of coffee thank goodness.
Love this set! Was going to order it from Flourishes this weekend, but think I’ll wait until Monday………………hope, hope, hope. Red, black and white are great colours but I would never have thought to use them with this set. What a great card!
