BLOG CANDY #10 - Curlz Monogrammer
For todays Blog Candy I have a JustRite CurlzDIY Monogram Stamper Kit. The folks at JustRite were very generous in offeringstill anotherClassic Wooden Stamper Kit to helpus celebrate this week! Thank You, JustRite you are ALWAYS Just Rite!!!
This classic wooden stamper kit has a fun font — and for some reason when I see this font I think of children’s cards — perhaps it isthe whimsical nature of the letters. But today I decided to use it for a snowflake card, and I think the Curlz font and the border I chose to use are JustPerfect for my snowflake card. Here it is:
This is one of those cards that you either need to hand deliver or mail well protected in a box! But that’s OK sometimes!!! It is 5.5″ square, has multiple layers, each elevated with mounting tape, and an acrylic frame behind the snowflake I made using my new Cuttlebug die. The only stamping on this card is the JustRite Curlz sentiment that I spelled out myself using the Curlz alphabets, saying Let it Snow! How appropriate!!! There are 2 layers of Cuttlebug embossing and on the bottom of the card I used an embossing border that says —with love. Can you see it? I love all the embossing and elevation on this card and, of course, the bow! Here’s aclose up of the layers, that I’ll explain:
Starting at the top and working down:

The snowflake was made by adhereing together 2 pieces of heavy, white paper. I love the heaviness and crisp whiteness of the PaperTrey Ink white. I then ran that through the Cuttlebug with my new Ice Crystal die, purchased from Jacksonbelle Embellishments. I then applied a dimensional product to the back, covered the front with glue and then Dazzling Diamonds.

The snowflake is resting on top of a clear acrylic frame. The snowflakes are printed on the frame. It is by Making Memories and I got it at Papertrey Ink. The clear frame is backed with Ballet Blue.

Beneath the frame is a square that has been embossed, then narrowly framed with plain white, both to give this layer more stability and for appearance.

The layer beneath is a piece 4 x 5.25″ embossed. It is adhered to the upper portion of the Ballet Blue base. I then embossed a piece 5.25″ with the *with love* embossing border and then cut it to 1″ high and adhered it to the bottom of the Ballet Blue. Ribbon was wrapped around this layer before attaching it to the card base.

The Curlz JustRite sentiment was cut, embossed and framed with Petite Circle Nestabilities and attached last.

Snowflakes are my favorite theme for holiday cards…and this one is just stunning. The wide ribbon draws you eye to the snowflake and I too, love the multi layers of CB. Very stunning card! I’m sure any recipient would love to hang this on their wall!!
