Stamp Simply #68 – Thankful
HAPPY NEW YEAR, EVERYONE!Hope you had a nice and relaxing day today!!!
Keyword ssnotime68 -There is no time limit. You can play this challenge and upload yourproject at Splitcoastand/or your Blog, anytime at all! You (and that means anyone and everyone, blogger or not!)can play as many times as you like!!! The point is to keep it simple, quick and have fun!!! Please link back here.
With the new year we all have much to be thankful for, and I’m sure we still all have some thank you notes to send out, so today’s challenge is to make a THANK YOU CARD. That’s it — no other rules!!! As always, try to keep it simple, and have fun!!!
And today I’d like to extend a warm thanks to LeAnne Pugliese, Wee Inklings, for being our Guest Designer for December. It was a busy month and she turned out some fabulous projects for us! We so enjoyed havingLeAnne with us!!! Thank you so much, LeAnne! Hope you can continue to play with us.
And I’d like to introduce to you our January Guest Designer, Deb Saaranen, Dream in Color. You may well remember Deb from our Stamp Simply Celebrates! back in early December. Deb’s passion is coloring with her Copics and I know she’ll provide us with some wonderful eye candy!!! Thank you so much Deb for joining us this month!!!
Some great samples for the Stamp Simply Challenge today can be seen on the blogs of these designers:Julie, Janine, Jennifer, Tammy, Dee, Becky, AJ,and Deb.
You can see all Gallery Submissions here.
What wonderful samples!!! Thank you girls!!! Much appreciated!!!
Heres myproject for todays challenge:
I need so many thank you notes that I’m trying to work in multiples! This was a super simple trio using 2 new stamp sets by Inkadinkado, Nostalgia and Southern Belle, both of which I got from Joan’s Garden. I just love these sets. They remind me of my all time favorite SU set, Carte Postale. They are each filled with gorgeous bird and flowersolid images and pretty sentiments. And I always love solid images as they make for quick production!
I love this simple (but striking, I think)color combo of black, white and Kiwi Kiss DP from SU’s Urban Garden. I kept the design simple by using only black ink, cutting and embossing my focal image with a Circle Nestability by Spellbinders, using a single brad, and stamping my sentiment right onto the DP. A really quick trio to produce.
And as my card base was black, I had to do something with the inside to make it easy to write on. A simple layer of white with a few pretty stamps (from the same sets listed above) easily does the trick! As I said above, I’m really loving these 2 sets and will probably be using them quite a bit!!! They’re just so pretty and they work so well together!!!
Stamps: Nostalgia and Southern Belle, both by Inkadinkado, from Joans Garden
Paper: Black, White and SUs Urban Garden DP
Ink: Versa Fine Onyx Black
Accessories: Petite Circle Nestability by Spellbinders, SU Old Olive Brad, Glue Gliderfrom Joan’s Garden
Thank you so much for stopping in today. Wishing you a wonderful New Year!!! Hoping it brings all you wish for and work toward!!!

Here’s wishing you a healthy and happy new year. Just a short note of thanks for being a part of my daily life. I’ve learned a lot from your blog and have actually improved on the quality of my cards. This is better than having to go to class. I’ve enjoyed reading about your adventures and feel like part of your family. Thank you for sharing a part of your life. Best wishes for a greater 2009.
Time to get back into the challenge mode! I love these cards. It amazes me how you can come up with such gorgeous stuff!
