CAS Bluebird Thanks

Published by at 12 01 am under General Purpose Cards,Inkadinkado

The Clean and Simple Challenge recently started at SCS is fast becoming one of my favorites. It’s up every Monday morning and what better way to start your stamping week than with a Clean and Simple creation. And I’ll tell you, the longer I stamp, the more I am coming to appreciate Clean and Simple!!! Today’s CAS challenge required that we use blue and green — perfect!!! Here’s myCAS creation for today:

cas05-bluebird-480-wm-notime.jpg

My image is inked direct to rubber (clear in this case) with the small cat’s eye format Colorbox Chalk Inks. I really enjoy inking an image with these small ink pads. I find it totally relaxing!!! My only embellishment isa length of 1.5″ wide gingham checked May Arts ribbon, simply knotted in the center. Oh, and can’t forget my bird’s eye –every bird always needs a black pearl eye!!!

Stamps: Birds Galore by Inkadinkado; Much Appreciated by SU

Paper: White, Certainly Celery, Bashful Blue Prints DP

Ink: VersaFine Onyx Black; ColorBox Chalk Ink in French Blue, Prussian Blue, Lime Pastel and Olive Pastel

Accessories: Wide May Arts Gingham Ribbon, Kaiser Pearl, SU Large Oval Punch, Glue Glider, Mounting Squares.

Shopping:

Joan’s Gardenhas Birds Galore, VersaFine Inks, Kaiser Pearls, Glue Glider and Mounting Squares.

My Ribbon Sale has the May Arts ribbon shown, as well as others (tab above my blog header.)

Thanks much for stopping in today. Hope you are experiencing some springlike temps and feeling some warm sunshine! And for those of you asking, YES, I am getting back to some more items *From Sue’s Kitchen* — real soon!!! See you soon!!!

Beautiful card, as usual. I love what you do with clean and simple. I do have a question about these cards. Do you use a white card base and then cover the entire front with the DP? I like the effect without having to add multiple layers to the card base.

Gorgeous card! Thanks for the help with the Inkadoo stamps. I tried chalk ink and got a much better impression. I was using a new Memento Tux ink, but that was not working well. I did eventually break down and lightly sand which helped it trendously!
I love this set I have it too!
