Stamp Simply #79 – You’ve Been Tabbed!
A few things first:
Most importantly, #1) Please pray for a teenage boy named Nick who was accidentally shot in the head, and for his family. They are fromOhio, near where Tammy lives. You may read more about this tragedy on her post here (scroll to the bottom of the post). They are in desparate need of prayer — (Editing — Tammy reports here that Nick has passed away. Please continue in prayer for this family, especially the younger brother involved in the incident — thank you.)
#2) I’ve just added 7/8″Gingham Checked Ribbons in 10 colors to My Ribbon Sale at the TAB above myblog header, or click here.OK, now on to our challenge:
Keyword ssnotime79 -There is no time limit. You can play this challenge and upload yourproject at Splitcoastand/or your Blog, anytime at all! You (and that means anyone and everyone, blogger or not!)can play as many times as you like!!! The point is to keep it simple, quick and have fun!!! Please link back here.
You’ve Been Tabbed! Today’s challenge is all about little bits of ribbon — ribbon TABS that is. Rather than adorning our card with wrapped ribbon or bows, let’s just use a bit of ribbon and make ribbon tabs — wide, narrow, whatever — let’s just make sure we have at LEAST one ribbon tab on our project today. Anything else goes!! Let’s all show each other how much fun we can have with our little scraps of ribbon!!! Anything you can do with a small piece of ribbon is what we’re after! And the most important rule HAVE FUN!!!
Check out the greatsamples for the Stamp Simply Challenge today on the blogs of these designers:
Please bear with us as we are all uploading and linking on Thursday night.
You can see all Gallery Submissions here.
What wonderful samples!!! Thank you girls!!! Much appreciated!!!
Heres my card for today using a little ribbon tab, but I also used a longer ribbon, too:
Fun to make — and easy — only a stamped sentiment! Just playing with pretty things! I LOVE my new Bella Bleu paper by SU — and I’m using Kraft again, 2 days in a row – never before — LOL!!! I think I am falling in love with Kraft, especially with this gorgeous Bella Bleu!!! And this paper was a perfect match with my tan and white gingham ribbon (available in 2 widths at My Ribbon Sale above). I LOVE the combination of prints here — fun stuff!!! I also did one thing on this card that I rarely do. This is a top fold card and to wrap my ribbon I cut a slit in the top. I just typically don’t care to do that — it just bothers me to cut my card — LOL — but I know it’s perfectly OK!!! No harm done!!! And I love the look of the ribbon done this way on this card, so today it was a perfect solution. I just have to learn to loosen up — LOL!!!
Editing to Add: Bella Bleu is in the current BIG catalog by SU. I’ve been receiving emails all morning as no one can find it. I probably messed you up when I called it new paper — all I meant was that it is new to me — I just got it — but it is in the regular big book! Sorry about that!
Stamps: Bird on a Branch by SU
Paper: SU: Kraft, Bella Bleu DP
Ink: Versa Fine Onyx Black
Accessories: May Arts Gingham Ribbon (available at My Ribbon Sale above), Wal-Mart Buttons and Hemp, Needle, Thread, Glue Glider, and from SU: Large and Small Oval Punches, Corner Rounder, Eyelet, Cropadile, Mini Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Kraft Knife.
Thank you so much for stopping in today. Hope you can find time to play this fun challenge. I’m anxious to see what all of you and the DT girls come up with! Hope you take the time to check all the links above, too!!! I should be back with another post later today if all goes well — the Dirty Girls have their monthly challenge today (20th), and this is one I REALLY want to do — hoping I get it done!!! See you soon!!! Have a great weekend!!!

Sharon – love your new passion for all things Kraft – this paper, ribbon and presentation just makes me feel peaceful. Thanks for sharing this card and challenge! Here’s a little ribbon tab that recently found it’s way from being a scrap on my desk to an embellishment on a card – never throw anything away, right?

Hi Sharon,
Love the layout and colors. Can you take a picture of the inside to show us what you did in there? I can see a glimpse but that is just a teaser. lol…thanks so much!
Great challenge – thanks Sharon. I sort of reversed my tab, but at least it uses up another scrap of ribbon, which reduces my pile!
