Beautiful Flower Soft Bouquets
There’s a lot happening today on the new Flower Soft Blog and I’m so happy to be a part of it as a member of the Flower Soft Design Team! There’s a lot of beauty to behold from some fabulous designers using this fun and easy product. And making gorgeous little bouquets is what we are focusing on today, so let me show you what I did and then be sure to click on all the links that will follow to bring you to all the other gorgeous projects. Oh, and so I don’t forget, if you’d like a chance to WIN some Flower Soft product for yourself, make sure you check out the Flower Soft Blog as well! OK, now here’s my project and my very 1st Flower Soft bouquet:
A bit of a Victorian feel for today and once again, NO stamping at all - and that’s perfectly OK!!! This is a standard 4.25″ x 5.5″ card on a SU Bashful Blue base. The lower half of my white panel is embossed with a Cuttlebug folder for some texture, but I wanted to leave the upper half clean and crisp and a satin ribbon covers the line between. The beautiful floral framed oval is one of many Card Toppers available from Flower Soft. You can purchase a variety of packages of Toppers that are so beautiful and make card-making so quick — just my style! I used my oval image today as a frame for my bouquet. Here’s a closer look:
My Flower Soft flowers were easily made by applying Flower Soft Glue to a Flower Soft Wire Stem and then dropping the Flower Soft product over the sticky stem. It’s amazing how quickly and easily you can create a flower. Instruction can be seen here on the Flower Soft site. I then made a cone for my flower by cutting a 4″ paper doily into quarters and using one of the quarters. I first rolled it in a pencil to get it to take on a rolled, curved shape. Once it was working with me, then I just applied my Flower Soft Glue to hold it in the cone shape. I then inserted all my stems and once arranging it how I wanted, I just took my Flower Soft Glue and stuck the long nozzle into the center of my bouquet and gave a little squirt. I allowed some drying time and was truly amazed at how strong and sturdy my little bouquet was. I added some little buttons and a pretty little taffeta bow with long tails. This is a double bow I made using the Bow Easy. The ribbon tails are held in place with mini glue dots.
And here’s the inside of my card. The Just for You is from a package of Sentiment Card Toppers by Flower Soft and it coordinates beautifully with the oval framed Card Topper used on the card front. My birds (both inside and out) have little white pearl eyes. The bird punch and lace border punch are both by Martha Stewart. The taffeta ribbon used on the card inside is merely wrapped around the card and tied in a little bow.
