Those Lazy, Hazy, Crazy Days of Summer

This is my Stars and Stripes card for the Stamp Simply Challenge on Friday that I missed.  Since the 4th is nearly over, I went with a summer theme and a light-hearted, fun card.  This lady perched on her post just made me chuckle.  Love these fun vintage images for a quick card!

Another simple creation done in the tent topper style I just love, created by Michelle Wooderson – a GREAT card design — just a little different and fun for a change.  The card base is 4.25″ square and the image is mounted so to make the card 5.5″ high, just like a normal A2 sized card.

And do you remember when I did this card using JustRite Font,  I said I was going to stamp some *Summer* sentiments  just to have on hand?  Well, came in handy today!  Something you may want to consider when building words on your Rectangle Stampers.

Stamps:  Times New Roman Font by JustRite, both Uppercase and Lowercase, used on the Harmony Rectangle Stamper

Paper:  SU Sage Shadow, Bravo Burgundy, PTI Vintage Cream, Image is from Summertime Journal Notes

Ink:  SU Sage Shadow, Versa Fine Onyx Black

Accessories:  1.5″ Striped Ribbon and 100% Jute String, SU Large and Small Star Punches, Brad, Glue Glider, Double Sided Carpet Tape

Hoping you all had a wonderful 4th of July!  We are going to the fireworks tonight — our yearly ritual.   We order a take out pizza and some pop and sit in the car and watch the fireworks.  LOL!!!  We’re a real exciting bunch — LOL!!!  Have fun everyone and be careful!

I’ll be back early Monday morning to share a project I love — something pretty — and to introduce you to some new friends I’ve met and provide you with some new links (they were new to me anyway)!  I think you’ll like all that you will see.  PLUS there are fun and games that you can participate in — so hope you can stop in on Monday — see you soon!

Your creation is adorable Sharon!! I’ve always wondered what to do with this image and this is perfect! Hope you enjoyed the fireworks!!! We have 2 couples sharing the 4th with us and it’s wonderful to just be able to B-B-Q outside, watch a movie then move to the front porch for the fireworks!!
