Trust your Heart

This card was an absolute pleasure to make for 2 reasons:  1) it was a special request from DS#2, and 2) he made all the decisions, so all I had to do was execute them!  So WHO gets the credit here, him or me???  LOL!!!  Seriously, all my boys usually ask me for are thank you notes, with instructions that they be kept very simple, so today’s request was surely a change of pace.  He picked out the focal image, the border sentiment, said he wanted Tanya’s name on it, that it had to be pink and white with ribbons and bows.  Well now, a boy after my own heart — I figured I JUST might be able to do this — LOL!!!  Here’s the result:

He did pretty good, didn’t he — LOL!!!!  I met all of his criteria — even Tanya’s name on the little hanging tag.  Adding the Cuttlebug die cut in the upper corner was my contribution!  I am having so much fun with this set, I may just have to declare this my latest favorite JR set — it’s The Friendship Set to fit the 3 1/4″ Round Wood Stamper.  It’s large, and I love it!  But the focal images are a wonderful size, perfectly suitable for using alone as well, which I will, another day.

Just a closer look.  Image colored with Copics and flower centers highlighted with a Signo White Gel Pen.  My Petite Circle Nestabilities were used to cut and mat the image.  And my Pink Silk Bow is double, done on the Bow Easy.  To write Tanya, I used my 15 pt font that came with the 2″ Round Wood Stamper with Bonus Center and 15 Pt Font.  I just popped my letters into the nearest stamper, which was a 1 5/8″ Round Wood Stamper, stamped them and cut with my Spellbinders Tags Trio die, ran a 1/4″ silk ribbon through the hole and tied it on!  Fun touch!  It is supported and help in place with 1 SU Dimensional.  I used SU’s Textured Pretty in Pink, SU Tea Party DP and PTI  White.
