A Gift Received… and Used!

A good friend, Barb Schram, sent me the sweetest little hand made gift in the mail.  Now, if you aren’t familiar with Barb, let me tell you, she is one of the most creative people I know.  She comes up with THE most darling little 3-D projects, food treats and gift items, etc.  And she does so on an ongoing basis — it’s just her thing and she does it extremely well!   Here’s what I got in the mail from Barb:

Isn’t it fun!  Thank you, Barb!!!!  She makes these fun little fabric, hand-sewn yo-yo’s (I think that’s what they’re called) and embellishes them up for use on craft projects.  They have an SU Dimensional on the back, so they are ready to use.  She sent me these 2 in a cello bag with a monogram on top.  (Note one pearl slipped off the button center in shipping — I fixed it upon opening the bag.)  Well, of course I had to use something from this lovely gift.  My time was limited today, so I decided to do something I haven’t done in ages — I made a fun 3 x 3 card — perfect to use as a little gift enclosure, and I just happen to have friends with S as their initial!  I’ll use the yo-yo’s on another project.  Here’s my 3 x 3:

To create this darling, tiny monogram, Barb used the 1 3/16″ Wood Stamper with Bonus 60 Pt Font and 3 Damask Borders by JustRite.  Barb used punches for the solid circles, 3/4″ and 1 1/4″, and a Petite Circle Nestabilites die for the scallop.  I used a Label 1 Nestabilites die for the framing.  Some pretty Raspberry Tart DP by SU adds the color, and done before you know it!

The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store  carries both the 1 3/16″ Wood Stamper with 60 pt Font and Damask Borders by JustRite, as well as the full set of Petite Circle Nestabilities by Spellbinders.

As a special treat this week, Barb is Guest Blogging over at the JustRite Blog.  Be sure to check out her FAB creations there as well as at her own Blog,  Explore. Dream. Discover.

And remember, Thursday begins the Mega JustRite Blog Hop.  Don’t miss it!  I, along with a ton of other designers, will be playing — stay tuned for inspiration galore!

Thanks much for stopping in today — I surely do appreciate all the time you take to check in on what I’ve been up to.  It means the world to me — THANK YOU!!!!   And hope to see you again real soon!

    So pretty Sharon!
And what a wonderful gift idea for friend who craft, Thankyou for sharing this!
Actually even for friends who don’t craft…to put together a little kit with the cards and Dp on them and then they could chose their embellishment and sentiment to add to the card themselves…..I think would make a wonderful gift as well.

Thank you for all the work and time that goes into your blog, I look forward to reading it each time you post!
Can’t wait to see what all the DT ladies put together (and you!) for the blog hop!
    Have a great day!
