And I made a CAS spring-like card for today:

127-tulips-angle-460-346-wm-notime.jpg

Very clean and simple in fresh spring colors.  The paper is Almost Amethyst Textured by SU and a scrap of Kaiser Lilac Avenue DP.  My pretty little tulip image is from one of the newest JustRite releases, A Breath of Spring— and it certainly is!!!   My sentiment is from another JustRite set called Seeds of Kindness— a perfect accompaniment for all their new floral images.

Here’s a look at the items I used.  A Breath of Spring is made to fit the Large Oval Stamper and Seeds of Kindness is made to fit the 1 5/8″ Stamper (will also fit the 2″Stamper).  However, if you will notice on today’s project, you don’t see an oval or circle anywhere.  Today I chose to cut them out with my Rectangle Nestabilities by Spellbinders.  I just want to point out again that just because the JustRite stamps come made to fit on round or oval stampers, it doesn’t mean they always have to be used in that way.  Once you stamp your image, the sky is truly the limit.  You can cut, mount and frame your images in any number of ways.  I truly love the oval frames in A Breath of Spring, but decided to let them wait for another day as I opted to go rectangular today to fit in with a clean and simple style for today’s Stamp Simply Challenge.

I used Kaiser Pearls in Lush as accents.  I used a 1″ Double Faced Satin Ribbon running under my focal image and I glued on a 1.25″ Silk Ribbon Bow made on the Bow Easy.

Thank you all so much for stopping in today.  It’s been a week since I’ve posted and I apologize for that!  I’ve been trying to organize paperwork for our appointment with the accountant — it’s that time of year — among all the other daily activities.  I do have one last Valentine card completed and that post will pop up on Saturday afternoon, so hope you can check back in then.  I truly do appreciate all your visits!  Thank you SO much!

  35. Sylvia Johnson says:

Oh my gosh your card is gorgeous. Now I have a question…how do you make that bow with the center tight? When I use the Bow Easy I cannot get the center tight like you did. If there is anyway you can answer me I would truly appreciate it. I figure I must be doing something wrong. I love the silk ribbon and the suede ribbon. I have a few yards in pink that I have been hoarding because I did not have a source to replace it. Now I do.
