Monogrammed Valentine

Published by at 4 05 pm under Bow Easy,JustRite Products,Valentines

This monogrammed valentine was made at the request of one of my sons.  His instructions were that it be a valentine, have her initials,  have some sparkly glitz, include the sentiment stamp he chose and be nice and girly so she’d like it!  I did get in all the required elements, now let’s hope she likes it!!!  Take a look:

This was fun to make.  I needed a way to work the sentiment onto the card front along with the monogram, so stamping it on the heart just seemed to work.  All hearts are cut and embossed using my Heart Nesties by Spellbinders.  My paper is Raspberry Tart by SU with cardstock in White, Pink Pirouette, Cameo Coral and Kiwi Kiss.

Paper piercing was used to add interest and texture and Kaiser Rhinestones added the glitz.  All stamps used are by JustRite, listed below.   The bow is White 100% Silk made on the Bow Easy and adhered with Aleene’s Fast Grab Tacky Glue (Wal-Mart).

So beautiful! I am a mom to four children, three boys I would be so honored if one of them asked me to make any card for them. That just shows what a great mom you are!!

  7. Oh my! That is one romantic card! Now I have young men, too. One asked me to make his girlfriend a valentine with a pink tractor on it. The other wanted a karate valentine. These boys are in their 20s!! I guess I didn’t raise them right..LOL. Seriously, though, your son’s girl is going to cherish this beauty!

Sharon, I agree with everyone else on how honored you should be that your son would entrust you with making a card for his special someone. But, then again he knows what beautiful things you create. Who wouldn’t love that lovely card and all the more special because you made it. You know, they say you can tell the merit of a man by how he treats his mother. Looks like your son is on the right path! I’ll be looking forward to your exciting announcement next week. Judi

The way that you incorporated the hearts and rhinestones makes the card very elegant! Even the details, like the paper piercing, did not go unnoticed. And I absolutely love the sentiment on the front!! So very true!! You are so talented in everything that you do. Thanks for helping make a very special Valentine’s for me!
