Stamp Simply #152 – Ribbon Scraps

Ribbon Scraps – Waste not, want not!  I think we all save even the tiniest of our ribbon scraps, right?  I know I do.  Today’s challenge is to use ribbon scraps on our card or project.  You may use as many as you want, just make sure it’s a scrap, a small piece.  You can do whatever you want with them, but let’s just make use of some of these little bits of prettiness!!!  This will be fun!!!

Anyone is welcome and invited to play!  SCS Keyword is ssnotime152 for those who upload at SCS.  There is no time limit. You can play this challenge anytime at all.  The point is to keep it simple, quick and have fun!!!

And be sure to Link to Mr. Linky below.

And today I have a clean and simple wedding card to show you:

Our 23 year old son is attending a wedding on Saturday and the instructions with his card request did not surprise me one bit — “make it as plain and simple as you possibly can.”  LOL!!!  OK — I tried!!!!  Black and white, 5.5″ square, an old favorite Cuttlebug embossing folder and the focal image is black embossed.  The stamp is my favorite go-to stamp for wedding cards and my ribbon is NEW!!!  I used two small scraps (one on top and one on bottom) to make it appear that it is one continuous piece — who’s to know!!!  I thought this 1” Grosgrain with the lovely Satin Edge was the perfect choice for this card!

The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store has the stamps and ribbon in stock:

Stamps:  Loving Thoughts Centers ($14.95),  Decorative 2″ Square Frames ($12.95), used on the 2″ Square Square Wood Stamper ($9.95) all by JustRite (seen on this page)

Ribbon:  Black 1″ Grosgrain with Satin Edges  ($.70/yard – available in 10 colors) (seen on this page)

Well, I hope my card passes approval with my son!  LOL!!!  WOW, have we had it HOT and HUMID!!!!  70 with a breeze would be perfect for me — but we’ll get that back soon enough.  Fall is just around the corner — amazing, too, how the time flies!

I’ll be back on Saturday to announce the winner of our Blog Candy — it’s still an active post, so check it out here if you haven’t already, for your chance to win.  If things go my way, I hope to have a new card to show you then as well.  Have a great weekend everyone – get in some of that summer fun as it’s winding down real soon!!!  Thanks for stopping in!
