Stamp Simply #155 – Falling leaves

Falling Leaves – This challenge was actually inspired by an upcoming Bridal Shower I was asked to make a card for.  A great theme for this time of year!  So today’s challenge is to incorporate leaves into our projects — any type of leaves, any type of card or project — let’s just see some beautiful Falling Leaves this week as we transition into fall mode!

Anyone is welcome and invited to play!  SCS Keyword is ssnotime155 for those who upload at SCS.  There is no time limit. You can play this challenge anytime at all.  The point is to keep it simple, quick and have fun!!!

With a new month under way we say goodbye to our August Guest Designer, Charlene Driggs from Paper and Ink Playground.  Thank you SO MUCH, Charlene, for hanging out with us all last month.  We all LOVED your creations!!!  You are so super talented and we were truly honored to have you with us.  Hope you can continue to play along with us sometime as your time permits!  MANY, MANY thanks!!!

And here I should announce the new September Guest Designer — BUT, I forgot to take care of that item of business — so we have no new guest to announce this week.  Are YOU interested in serving as a Guest Designer with us here at Stamp Simply? Well, play along this week, link up with Mr. Linky below and next Thursday I’ll select a guest from all entries this week who will then play along as our Guest for the last 2 weeks in September!  How’s that sound?  Fun!

And be sure to Link to Mr. Linky below.

And here’s my card for today:

For my leaves I used an older Cuttlebug Embossing Folder, punching the bottom with a Martha Stewart Punch.  I have always loved the look of an embossed sheet of white cardstock and I love to let it stand on its own.  I added a strip of Webster’s Pages Fabric Flower Bloomers with Scor-Tape, a Silk Bow in Moss (made on the Bow Easy), and adorned it with one Kaiser Pearl.  The cardstock is SU Old Olive.

A note on greens:  My 100% Silk Ribbon in MOSS is a much better match to SU Old Olive than is the Olive Silk Ribbon.

And here’s the inside — sorry for the blurry photo — it’s been one busy day (week) and this is as good as it’s getting tonight — LOL!!!  This card was made for an autumn bridal shower and I thought this sentiment was perfect!  It’s from Romantic Sentiments by JustRite and fits the 1 5/8″ and 2″ round stampers. (I do have the entire JustRite line in stock)  I used VersaFine Onyx Black Ink.  Just a quick card, and I do enjoy the combination of clean lines and shabby roses — fun!!!

All items are available at The Stamp Simply Ribbon StoreTo order, just email me at [email protected] with your list, your state/zip OR country and then I’ll get back to you with an invoice.

Thanks so much for stopping in and PLEASE  play along this week if you want to be in the running for a 2 week guest spot the end of September!  It’ll be a fun way to get me off the hook for neglecting to find a guest this month!!!  Have a great Labor Day Weekend everyone!  See you real soon!
