Stamp Simply HOP – It’s a Wonderful Time of the Year!

Welcome to the October Stamp Simply Ribbon Store Blog Hop.  Today we ARE celebrating that wonderful time of the year — winter, Christmas, gift giving — all that the coming months entail. So glad you could join us.  Please read to the end of this post for details on the Blog Candy Offering.

My project for today has many pieces, but came together incredibly quickly!  And please note, there is not one stamped image on this project — it’s totally a paper-crafting project made with one of the new K & Company Christmas Kits I’ve put together - the Yuletide Kit.  I tried to use a portion of each item contained in the Kit to give you a close up view of how gorgeous all these items are.  Let’s start with my boxes:

Please note ALL items shown on this post were made using the contents of the

Stamp Simply K & Company Yuletide KIT

Click link above for pricing of all items as a KIT or individually.

I love these tall and lean boxes!  I’ve made them before, but not for many years.  I’ll give the how-to on these boxes on another post another time as time is getting short on me here tonight.  I used sheets of Yuletide 12 x 12 for these boxes.  The tallest box measures about 9″ high and the box base requires a full 12 x 12 sheet.  I just made a simple box bottom and box top, added a bit of ribbon and a tag — done in no time!  My full sized Scor-It Scor Board was used for all the scoring.

Here I just wanted you to see how I adhered the 5/8″ Scalloped Satin to the bottom edge of the box top using Scor-Tape.  It makes a pretty line of definition between the box top and bottom.  The ribbon going up the boxes is the 1″ Stitched Satin.  I hung on tags from the TAG PAD in the Kit.

This is a trio of cards I made using my go-to layout and the tags from the Tag Pad for the focal image.  They are topped with the Adhesive Chipboard Stickers.  In some cases I have also added Kaiser Rhinestones for a bit more glitz!  I am LOVING these non-traditional Christmas colors!

Just a closeup of one of the cards.  The paper used on these 3 cards is from the 18-sheet Designer Mat Pad.  The Tags are elevelated on dimensionals.  This is the Rose 100% Silk Ribbon — soooo pretty!

Here’s another similar card.  This is Celery 100% Silk and all bows on all projects today are single bows made on the largest legs of the Bow Easy.

And here’s the third.  There are 24 Tags in the pad.  One could certainly whip up 24 cards of this nature rather quickly!

Here’s another trio of cards made with the 18-sheet Die Cut Cardmaking Pad — GOSH, this is one fun pad!  I could create all day with this pad and it’s lovely die cut curved edge.

This is a gift card or money holder using the  Die Cut Sheets.  There is a pocket inside and the flap is held closed with Velcro.  My Chipboard Sticker is mounted on a couple of designer papers circles cut with my Spellbinders Nesties Circles.

This is my favorite card in this project.  I love this paisley print and I love the Mauve 100% Silk Ribbon.  This card is made using just the Die Cut Pad.  The card top is not as long as the bottom, allowing for the exposed bottom –  it’s quick and easy and looks SO pretty!  The die used on this and the next card is from Spellbinders Fancy Tags.

This card combines paper from the Die Cut Pad and the Designer Mat Pad and of course the Chipboard Stickers.

And last but not least, I just pulled 6 of the tags out of the Tag Pad and strung the 1/2″ Wrinkled Ribbon through the holes.  They are all set to tie onto a bag handle.  I love using plain brown handled gift bags at Christmas, and these will be perfect on them!  Instant tags and as pretty as can be – who KNEW it could be so easy!

A few announcements:

I am experiencing some blog issues and I am not able to add product to my STAMPS AND SUPPLIES page which you access by clicking the TAB above the blog header.  So, for lack of a better place to put them, I’d like to mention a few new items here for now:

The Chipboard Stockings that Deb Saaranen used on her project today (linked above) are by Kaisercraft, they come 5 to a pack and sell for $8.99.  They have holes in the top to string your ribbon or cordings through to create your garland and the toppers are separate pieces from the stocking itself.  They can be used strung together as a garland OR separately. Fun!!!  These stockings are good sized — about 8″ tall and 6″ across the foot!!!

__________

I have some Martha Stewart Baker’s Twine in stock.  It comes in 6 packs, either solid or striped.  Each darling little 6 pack sells for $3.99.

__________

 (Photo coming)

And at last I have my CLEAR BOXES in stock!  I get so many emails asking how I mail my cards.  Well, I use these Clear Boxes both to store AND mail my cards.  They offer perfectly clear storage to protect your gorgeous creations at home.  For mailing you can slip your CLEAR BOX  into a bag OR you can just create a mailing label for your CLEAR BOX and send it through the mail as is.  I’ll show you in a post later this week.

I am selling the CLEAR BOXES packaged in groups of 25.  I have them sized to fit the standard A2 cards  as well as the A6 cards.  These boxes will accomodate the ENVELOPES in these sizes as well.  They are 5/8″ thick.  This thickness allows the easy insertion of a *highly embellished* card, or a set of flatter cards with their envelopes.  It’s the PERFECT presentation for a gift set of cards!  These boxes come to you flat and easily fold into shape.

CLEAR BOXES – 25 PER PACK

A2 Size (Box Measures 4 1/2 x 5/8 x 5 7/8) – $10.00

A6 Size (Box Measures 4 7/8 x 5/8 x 6 5/8) – $12.00

I want to add that the A6 size is a size I’ve really been enjoying and using a lot of late.  It’s just a bit larger than our standard A2, but gives me just a little more room, which I like!  I purchase the A6 envelopes from Wal-Mart.  They are called Invitation Envelopes and they hold a 4 x 6 photo, a total bonus as the Christmas season approaches and we all share family photos with our cards!  Now with these CLEAR BOXES I can make up some A6 sized gift sets!!!  One of my favorite projects!!!

__________

JustRite Stampers - I have received Friendship Nested Sentiments and Sympathy Nested Sentiments in stock $14.95 each.   I absolutely LOVE each set in the Nested Sentiment series — so beautifully scripted. And I do have a real fondness for Sympathy Sets — can’t WAIT to use this one.  I need to replenish my supply of sympathy cards.

And have you heard the HUGE JustRite News?  They have now added a new CLING line to their ever growing inventory.  YES, deeply-etched, red cling rubber stamps.  The first 5 sets should be shipping out in just a few days or a week.  I’m happy to take your orders!  Here is the first set:

 Set of 15 Cling stamps – $19.95

• Deeply Etched Red Rubber
• Mounted on static cling foam
• Includes 8.5” x 5.5” storage panel
• Easy to store
• Clings to any acrylic block
• Easy repositioning

Watch for the rest to be added as they are revealed by JustRite!

__________

And I think that will about do it — sorry for the lengthy post, but until I resolve my issues with that page, this was my next best bet!

Enjoy the HOP and have a GREAT autumn week!  See you soon!
