A Shabby Color Throwdown

Yes, I played two challenges today — AMAZING!  First I started with Color Throwdown #157.  Actually, I was asked to fill in as Guest this week, so that was FUN.  THANK YOU LADIES!!!  Here’s the colors:

And here’s my card using those colors, the best I could.  I don’t have all the current SU colors, so I did the best with what I had.

I used a new September release from JustRite called Greetings from Paris.  LOVE this set and it’s coordinates in the September release.  For paper I used Reflections by Prima as the colors were so close to the challenge colors — how lucky can one get!  All coordinates to Reflections can be seen here.  Other supplies used on this card are:

May Arts Ribbon:  1.5″ Silky Crushed, 1/2″ Wrinkled, both in Burgundy

Primas Flowers:  Sugar Blooms (Reflections), 4 Seasons Velvet Leaves

Kaisercraft Rhinestones in Lippy Red

VersaFine Onyx Black Ink

3D Foam Squares

Bow Easy

Spellbinders Dies:  Labels Four, Labels Four Small, Parisian Accents

This card is standard A2 sized and will be stored in and presented in an A2 Clear Box.

Now please check out all the other gorgeous cards the Color Throwdown girls have done:

Tammy Hershberger

Barbara Anders

Lori Tecler

Kristin Eberline

Broni Holcombe

OK, I said I played two challenges and I did.  Once my card got underway, I realized it was right in line with this week’s JustRite Shabby  Chic Challenge, so I’m playing along over on the JustRite Blog as well.  Be sure to go there to check out all the DT samples and player uploads — lots of gorgeousness over there!

All items used on today’s card are available at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store, as linked above.

Thank you for stopping in — now why don’t YOU play a challenge today — they are FUN!!!

Have a great week and I’ll be back real soon!!!
