Ribbon Inspiration/Stamp Simply Style – Pleats/Ruffles

Welcome to another weekly installation of  Ribbon Inspiration/Stamp Simply Style.  Today we are focusing on Pleats or Ruffles.  The Design Team could either use pre-pleated ribbon OR make their own pleats or ruffles out of any type of ribbon. They all took the easy route and use pre-pleated ribbon, but that’s totally OK — I did too!  I will show you some hand made pleated/ruffled samples at the end of this post.

As usual, our blog candy offering is at the end of this post, and here’s what I created for today:

This is a 5.5″ square card and I was so pleased with how well all the colors matched and worked together.  The ribbon tales are held in place by putting tiny dabs of glue (I used a needle) at points where the ribbon touches some point to adhere it to.

Paper by Prima – Pixie Glen 6×6

See all Pixie Glen coordinates here.

Happy Birthday Sentiment by Wordsworth – Everyday Greetings

See all Wordsworth stamps here.

Spellbinders die – Fancy Tags One

Flowers by Prima Avon Rose -Pixie Glen (exceptional value with 24 flowers per pack)

May Arts 1/4″ Silk Ribbon – Champagne

Kaisercraft Pearls – Blush

VersaFine Ony Black Ink, 3D Foam Squares

Ruffled Trim by Prima – Lovely Lace in Peach (REALLY lush and very well made)

Adhered with Scor Tape

Card inside is completely covered in the same paper – Pixie Glen.

All boxed up and ready to give in its own 5.5″ Square Clear Box.

I was SO thrilled with how well the Champagne Silk matched this piece of Peach Trim.  I just had to use some to wrap the box.

The little tag on the bottom corner of ribbon is from Just Because Mini Sentiment Set, used with the Clear Mini Sentiment Stamper, both by JustRite, and cut with a die from the Spellbinders/JustRite Nested Sentiment Dies.

All items used are available at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store, as linked above.

Blog Candy

This is today’s offering of Blog Candy — some pleated ribbon samples as well as other ribbons that compliment the pleats or work well with the pleats.  It’s hard to see them all in the photo, but it’s a nice sampling of some pretty pleats and other ribbon — all quality ribbon by May Arts.

This is a Mystery Blog Candy, meaning the winner will be drawn from comments on one of today’s participating blogs, so leaving a comment on each blog will greatly increase your chances of winning, but only one comment per blog, please.  The winner will be selected at 6 p.m. Eastern time on Tuesday, October 11 and will be posted here on my blog on Tuesday night or Wednesday, so please check back to claim your prize if you are the lucky winner!  Good luck!
