Ribbon Inspiraton/Stamp Simply Style – Cool Blue
Welcome to another Ribbon Inspiration Saturday/Stamp Simply Style. Today the design team was challenged to create using the color blue — I think blue is a color we all love and gravitate towards often. I went through a streak a few years back where I think everything I made was blue with black accents — LOL! I STILL love blue!
Here’s my clean and simple, quick and easy card for today.
It was my Mom and Dad’s 60th Wedding Anniversay earlier this week and this is the card I made for them. I’ll take it to dinner on Sunday to present to them in an A6 Clear Box. The card is made 6.5″ x 4.75″ so it fits perfectly into the A6 Clear Box — a perfect way to both protect and present the card.
Paper: Bonjour by Kaisercraft
Ribbon: 1.25″ Silk in Blue by May Arts, Lace from the White Lace Card by Kaisercraft
Bow made on the Original Bow Easy
Flower: Angelica Rose in Bonnie by Prima
The inside sentiment is one of several sentiments included in Rose Border by Wordsworth (a very pretty set).
Ink used is VersaFine Onyx Black, my favorite for crisp, clear sentiments.
And here’s the card in it’s A6 Clear Box, all set to go to dinner on Sunday!
And, YES, that beautiful sheet of paper beneath the card is one of the sheets in the Bonjour pad. That sheet of French text along with the floral sheet in my card are both so elegant with the silver foiling. Gorgeous pieces!

The Blues of Summer Ribbon Sampler
Today’s blog candy is The Blues of Summer Ribbon Sampler. This Stamp Simply Sampler of crisp blue and white ribbon contains a total of 25 yards of quality ribbon by May Arts — 1 yard of each of the ribbons shown in the photo. Ribbon types include:
1.5″ and 3/8″ Grosgrain Stripes

I just love how elegant this all blue card can look. I thought I saw a sheen to the paper…now I know it was some foil. Amazing how a solid sheet of paper, and black ink can be so beautiful with a couple of extra-ordinary embellishments!
