Ribbon Inspiration – Bloomers

No, it isn’t Saturday, but as I said before, we are mixing up the schedule for the remainder of the summer — whatever works is what we’re running with — and today we are showcasing BLOOMERS of all sorts!  FUN ribbon flowers!!!  I am over-the-top with delight to show you today’s creations.  The idea to showcase Bloomers this week started with these trees:

Barb Schram created these FABULOUS trees for a post on the JustRite Blog last week, and when I saw them I KNEW I had to share them over here as well.

You can see Barb’s full post with more photos here.  Barb used:

Webster’s Pages Bloomers – S10 Pack

Prima Shabby Roses – Teal

JustRite’s Christmas Antique Labels One – a cling set

JustRite’s Antique Labels One Dies by Spellbinders

Seam Binding

Pearized Pins

Well, if those trees weren’t sweet enough, Barb went on to create a baby ensemble of bib and headband out of the same trim.  Take a peek:

You can see Barb’s post will full photos here. (YES, machine washable and dryable – read Barb’s post!)  Barb used:

Webster’s Pages Bloomers – S10 Pack

Seam Binding

1/8″ Velvet Ribbon

Tulle

Darsie was also having a lot of fun with Bloomers over the weekend! Here’s a little peek of one of her creations:

Can you BELIEVE how lovely this is!  Halloween Elegance at it’s VERY best!  And YES, there is more sweet goodness hanging down that you can not see in this photo.

Check out Darsie’s Blog to see the rest of this wreath as well as another surprise creation with the Bloomers.

Darsie used:

Well, sadly, I didn’t have time to create a project for today’s post, but as we are showcasing Bloomers today, I thought I’d pull up some older photos of projects I’ve done in keeping with today’s theme of Bloomers.  Please keep in mind what I’m showing you below are all older projects, so some papers and things might be discontinued, but the idea is just to give you some ideas of other ways to use your Bloomers — and mine were strictly done on scrapbook pages and cards.  So, here we go:

This is my Beautiful Brittany scrapbook page from about a year ago.  You can see it here for more detail and product links.

I used Shabby Rose Trim by Prima and many other Prima products (check link above). This is a 12 x 12 page.  These Prima Shabby Roses are quite a bit larger than the Webster’s Pages Bloomers used in many projects above.

I made this card several years ago using Webster’s Pages Bloomers and May Arts 100% Silk in 1.25″ width.  I believe it was for an autumn bridal shower.  This used an older Cuttlebug embossing folder.  You can see the Spellbinders M-Bossabilities embossing folders here.

This card uses individual Webster’s Pages Bloomers cut from the strip with Silk Ribbon.  This card is several years old and the paper by Webster’s is retired.  The stamp set used is Women’s Collection by Wordsworth, cut with Spellbinders Labels Four die.  Wordsworth sets contain really a lot of great sentiments.  All Wordsworth stamps in stock can be seen here.

This was also made a couple years ago with the Webster’s Pages Bloomers, Silk Ribbon and retired Webster’s paper. The die cut pieces for the sentiment are created with Spellbinders Fancy Tags One and a Provocraft Cuttlebug Vintage Dies.

Here’s one more type of rosette trim.  These are the Sheer Woven Rosettes by May Arts available in an array of colors paired with Silk Ribbon.  This card is many years old and uses retired paper by October Afternoon and a retired stamp set by JustRite, but just wanted to show you the Sheer Woven Rosettes.

Items used on all posts above are availabe at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store, as linked.

All the Bloomers and Rosettes type trim can be seen under the category called Rosettes.
