Shabby Chic Autumn Leaves

Published by at 8 42 am under Autumn Cards,JustRite Products,Prima

We most definitely have the feel of autumn in the air.  It’s a wonderful time of the year — so refreshing!  So I thought an autumn themed card would be in order, especially since I have several new JustRite sets calling my name — the two new sets used today are from the JustRite August release, and I used new paper, too – SO FUN to play with new things!

It’s a really simple card today that was fun to make.

My card front is covered with a gorgeous sheet from one of Prima’s new collections – The Zephyr Collection – I used the 6×6 pad.

The card is a standard 4.25 x 5.5″ and will fit into an A2 Clear Box for protection, storage and gifting.

This is a simple ribbon treatment.  The 1.25″ Silk Ribbon by May Arts in Moss is merely wrapped around the card front and tied tightly into a knot, ends then clipped neatly.

I stamped two of the smaller leaves from JustRite’s Shabby Chic Autumn Leaves onto the scrap of designer paper that was left after covering the front.  Stamping onto the designer paper gives the leaves the exact same design/tone as the card front, making them tie in so nicely.  I then hand cut the leaves and sponged the edges twice with Tim Holtz Distress Inks — first with Antique Linen and then with Tea Dye.  I then gave them a slight curled shape with my fingers and use 3D Foam Squares to adhere them.

I then tied a bow with Burlap String by May Arts in Natural, glued that on top and added a Kaisercraft Pearl in yellow.  Done!

The sentiment and frame from JustRite’s Antique Autumn Tags One set were both applied to an acrylic block and stamped in one application using VersaFine Vintage Sepia Ink.

The framed sentiment was then cut using a new die set made by Spellbinders for JustRite – Antique Tags One Dies.  Fabulous die set!

The tag, as well as the card front, was sponged in the same way as the leaves, using both inks listed above.  More yellow pearls were applied and DONE!

Here’s the lovely autumn sets I used today:

Shabby Chic Autumn Leaves, a clear set — aren’t those the most gorgoeus leaves!  I really love them!

Antique Autumn Tags One, a clear set – LOVELY sentiments and frames.

Antique Tags One Dies

This is the die set made to coordinate with the above Antique Autumn Tags One clear set.  It also coordinates with Antique Christmas Tags One clear set as well as Joy to the World Medallion Labels, a cling set,  both shown below.

This die set is not yet available from the manufacturer, but can be pre-ordered.  What this means is if you place this set on your order, your entire order will ship immediately, minus this one die set.  When this set is received, it will be immediately shipped to you, a good way to insure you’ll be first in line to get this set once it is available!  Its anticipated date of arrival is the first week of September, so I’m saying by approximately 9/7/12 it should be enroute to you.

Antique Christmas Tags One, another clear set, also coordinates with the the above die set.

Joy to the World Medallion Labels, a cling set, also coordinates with the above die set.

Hope you enjoyed today’s card!

we here in Australia are thankful that Spring is in the air- I think this has been one of our constant wettest and coldest winters in such a long time – we are thankful for that but please a little sun and warmth would be appreciated. Great card love the autumn colours
