A Clean and Simple Christmas #3

Today we will get back on track with some clean and simple Christmas cards.  It IS getting to be that time of year.  EACH Wednesday we will have some CAS Christmas cards to show you, so I hope you keep that in mind if you like things clean and simple, quick and easy, for the holidays.  I know I do!

Today Michelle and I created some CAS Christmas cards to share —  here is a peek at Michelle’s cards:

I LOVE these non-traditional colors for Christmas!

You can see the full project on Michelle’s blog.

Michelle used:

Paper from the My Mind’s Eye Winter Wonderland Collection

Large Fancy Holiday Sentiments, a clear set by JustRite

Spellbinders Labels Sixteen

May Arts 1/2″ Wrinkled Ribbon – White

Prima Miss GodivaMermaid

Here’s a 2nd card Michelle did for today — love it!

You can see the full project on Michelles’ blog.

Michelle used:

I made a trio of cards today, all using the same supplies – SUPER quick and easy being no-stamp cards.

The paper used on all 3 cards today is Kaisercraft’s Twig and Berry and all images and sentiments are from the Twig and Berry Collectables package.

All 3 cards are a standard 4.25 x 5.5″.

The background sheet on this card is flocked — it is SO beautiful and textural in real life — that aspect is totally LOST in this photo.

The PEACE is a die cut from the Collectables package and the background shape is cut from a sheet in the Twig and Berry pad using  a new Spellbinders die, Scalloped Labels One.

Please note: There are MANY coordinating dies plus an embossing folder in the Labels One Collection:  Labels One, Scalloped Labels One, Decorative Labels One and the M-Bossabilities embossing folder, Framed Labels One.  I LOVE when things work together!  Combine them or use them alone — this is a beautiful, classic shape that will never go out of style.

This card was just FUN to put together, made entirely from a variety of the die cuts from the Collectables pack.  I stapled the tab onto the top of the postcard and added two more die cut shapes on top of the postcard.

Other items used on this trio of cards:

3D Foam Squares

Kaisercraft RhinestonesLippy Red  (Adding just a rhinestone or two to every card  can dress up a rather plain and simple card)

Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Tea Dye for edging

Please note:  If you like quick and easy cards where you can get away with as little work (time) as possible, the Kaisercraft pads are perfect choices.  I have long-loved their pads.  They contain 40 sheets each.  Each pad contains many decorative sheets in that mix of 40 – either flocked, embossed, sparkly, foiled, varnished, etc.  There are always some blingy sheets included!  PLUS, there are 4 sheets at the back of each pad filled with die cut shapes to punch out, similar to what I’ve used today.  I used die cuts from a coordinating Collectables pack today, just offering more options and variety for coordinating die cuts.  It’s just a GREAT way to quickly produce some quick and easy cards!

All Kaisercraft 6×6 pads can be seen here (some are at reduced prices).
