I made six baby thank you notes Saturday evening.  I needed to bring them to church on Sunday and I started VERY late, so they HAD to be quick and easy, and they ceratinly were.  I truly don’t mind doing multiples of simple cards — I find it rather relaxing!

Jessie asked if I’d make these cards for one of her instructors at school.  She is in grad school for Occupational Therapy.  In one of her classes Moms volunteer to bring in their babies for — well, I’m not sure what for exactly – some type of observation, I guess.  Anyway, the instructor wanted to send little thank you notes to these Moms.  Apparently she wanted hand-made notes, so here we have them:

I told you — quick and easy!

The paper used on all the cards is from Graphic 45’s Little Darlings Collection. I used the 8×8 pad.

This is a wonderful baby/child pad.  It has a lot of images in it that can be cut out for focal images, but I didn’t do that today (I usually do!)

There are also Chipboard Tags to coordinate with the Little Darlings Collection — another quick and easy option.

Editing to add: I just tried to place an order for more of this paper — sadly, it has been discontinued.  I have what I have with no more coming — my apologies.  There is still some in stock, but in very limited quantity.

The sentiments were made from JustRite’s clear set from the Amazing Paper Grace Collection – Just the Right Words.  Here I placed the “thank” and the “you” so they woud fit nicely inside the heart die I wanted to use.  That’s one GREAT advantage to all the separate words in this set.

I used the Charm Dies – a JustRite/Spellbinders co-branded die set. I use this set often for fun little tags – I like that it can layer.

JustRite also has 3 cling sets designed specifically for this die set – Charmed, Charming Christmas and Elegant Charms.

The ink used is VersaFine Onyx Black for the sentiment and Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Antique Linen for edging.

All the ribbon on these cards is Seam Binding — the colors used are Cameo Beige, Dusty Olive and Danish Blue.

The ribbon is wrapped completely around the card front. I like to run a strip of 1/8″ Scor Tape across the card front under the ribbon to keep the ribbon from slipping.

All these are a standard 4.25 x 5.5″.

As Jessie will be giving these cards to her instructor, I wanted to make sure they got there without damage and of course, presentation is everything, right?  It doesn’t have to be fancy, just neat and kind of pretty!

Each A2 Clear Box contains one card and paper envelope.  This keeps them totally protected and the cards could also be presented and/or mailed in these Clear Boxes. I wasn’t sure what the recipient would want to do, so all bases are covered — paper envelopes and Clear Boxes.

I hope she likes them!

    Stunning in their simplicity.

I adore Graphic 45. Because the paper is so gorgeous, though, it really needs little embellishment. While I admire the many cards I see on line, nearly all are too busy for my taste. These are showstoppers. Thanks for sharing.
