Beautiful Penny Black images make it so easy to create clean and simple (quick and easy) cards!  I use them so much every year at Christmas.  The Penny Black stamps we carry are all wood mount images that are well suited to embossing, which is a favorite technique of mine for Christmas cards.  It’s quick and easy to emboss an image and the results are stunning, not requiring a whole lot else.  Right up my alley — LOL!!!  Here’s what I made last night:

The paper used is Kaisercraft’s Merry and Bright. This is the pad with some peachy/orangey tones that I LOVE, but today I only used the more golden sheets.

Here’s another card done with this pad that gives you a look at some more of the sheets.

The cardstock used is SU Very Vanilla.

These cards are very flat for mailing. I did use one very thin pop dot under the sentiment circles, oh, and some rhinestones, so not totally flat, but about as flat as I can go!

This card uses Penny Black’s Brush Ornament.

This card is made 4.5 x 6.25″ to fit inside the invitation envelopes I pick up at Wal-Mart and Office Max.

The Rejoice (so pretty ) on all 3 card fronts is from JustRite’s cling rubber set, Joy to the World Medallion Labels.  This set has many beautifully scripted sentiments that are on the smaller side, including 2 Bible verses.  I see one in this set I’m going to be using for thank you cards — pretty set!

My little sentiment circles were cut with my Circle Nesties.

The stamp used here is Penny Black’s Holly and Globe.

This card is smaller at 4.25″ square. I’ll use it as a tag on a box or tuck it into a gift bag with a gift.

I used my Zig Painty Pen (gold) to edge the focal image panels and the designer paper panels on these cards.  Just takes a minute and gives a really nice finished look to the project.

And here’s Rudolph, complete with his red nose! The stamp is Penny Black’s Leaping Deer.

This card is the same size as the first at 4.5 x 6.25″.

I’ve added Red Rhinestones to all cards — a little touch that adds just a bit of sparkle and glitz!

Embossing supplies: VersaMark Ink, Super Fine Embossing Powder, Heat Gun

These are the card insides, again relying on my go-to sentiment set this year, Large Fancy Holiday Sentiments by JustRite.
