Year in Review 2012

Published by at 9 51 pm under Year in Review

I’m finally getting to my annual Year in Review post.  I always enjoy looking through my gallery of projects for the past year and picking out my favorites.  Some years I’ve picked one favorite per month, other years I’ve separated CAS cards from more detailed cards.  This year there is no rhyme or reason, just picking out my favorites.  Here we go:

Love these colors – SU Blush Blossom and Champagne Silk Ribbon.  Find more details here.

Here I love the metallic paper (Kaisercraft Bonjour) and the pretty soft blue. Find more details here.

I really love a lot on this card — the color again, the white embossed medallion, the pretty lace, the die cut bird.  Find more details here.

I made this card for my Mom last Mother’s Day.  I love the collage style, the gold embossed scissors and thread, the die cut dress form and just all the pieces and layers.  Find more details here.

This was a sketch challenge at SCS.  LOVE this layout!!!  Big time love it!!!  Love the variety of fun prints and the large ribbon/flower/pin cluster.  Find more details here.

Love this tried and true layout/style.  I’ve used this a million times (almost!) for wedding cards.  I also really love that the stripes were made with a background stamp so I can make them in any color to match any paper at any time!  Find more details here.

LOVE this tea cup die!  LOVE coffee/tea stamp sets!  LOVE resin cameos and LOVE the trim!  Find more details here.

That same sketch again – told you I love it!  Here I love the neutral shades, pearl swirls, fancy trim and floral/bow cluster.  Find more details here.

A home decor piece.  Love the satin pleated trim combined with lace, seam binding bow and floral and LOVE how easy this was to do.  Find more details here.

Look how similar – yet still different.  This one is a card.  Of course I love the subtle tone-on-tone color scheme, the tiny butterfly and sentiment die cut.  Find more details here.

Love that it is square and that the image was white embossed onto designer paper.  LOVE that stamp!  Find more details here.

Love making sympathy cards with scripture.  Love the lace and floral/bow.  Find more details here.

Love the paper, sentiment and the leaves.  Love that the bow treatment is a little different than my norm!  Find more details here.

Here’s more of the same color that keeps popping up — SU Blush Blossom and Champagne Ribbon — love it and it goes with so much of the designer paper.  Love the large ruffly satin trim piece and the pretty sentiment with die cut matting.  Find more details here.

This trio is only 3 of 15 card samples made from the Anna Griffin Cart Kit I put together.  LOVE that entire kit and how easy it is to create pretty cards.  Find more details here.

I allowed myself to select only 1 Christmas card as they were all posted so recently I didn’t want to bore you to death.  I chose this one for many reasons.  LOVE that paper pad with the orange  in it as well as the metallic accents in it and LOVE that this was made so easily using up scrap pieces!  Can’t beat that!  Find more details here.

And that wraps up this VERY long post — so sorry!

Many thanks for stopping in.

We’ll be back real soon!

Hi Sharon! What a fantastic review of your creative year! It’s like being on a blog hop without going anywhere!! I love your style and your beautiful cards. My favorite is your square white embossed card. I missed that post somehow and love the end result. I’ll have to tuck that away and give it a try. Thanks so much for your lovely inspiration. Happy New Year!
