Cool Summer Birthday Cards for Kids

Today I have a set of 5 birthday cards for children — or maybe I should say cards for the “young at heart”, no matter what your age!  I opened this package of Cool Summer paper  by Carta Bella a couple weeks ago and have been waiting to dive into it.  The colors and patterns are so fun and summery.  Paired with the coordinating chipboard, these birthday cards came together very quickly.  Now, I just WISH I had some little children in my life to give them to!!!   Maybe some day —

Isn’t this FUN paper and chipboard!

All paper and chipboard used today is from the Cool Summer Collection by Carta Bella.

After punching the chipboard banner out, I used the negative left to trace the curved shape on my lower piece of designer paper.  Then I could just cut the curve on my paper so the chipboard banner would fit perfectly over it.

Again, the hanging pennants and ice cream cone are the chipboard.

I used the Happy Birthday from JustRite’s Buntings and Banners clear stamp set.

It was cut with a die from Spellbinders Fancy Framed Tags Two.  LOVE that little die with curved edges. It fits all the sentiments in Buntings and Banners very well.

My inclination would have been to use a variety of sentiments from Buntings and Banners as the script goes so well with this paper, but as I’ll be listing this card set for sale, I decided to stick with strictly birthday cards, thus the same sentiment on all of them.

Loved this pinwheel paper.  The little bird chipboard added a fun touch.

I’ve used a variety of rhinestones and/or pearls on these cards for just a touch of bling!

Fun for a hot summer birthday!

I think this one is my favorite — love those sweet clouds and the scallop banner reminds me of a collar on a little girls dress.

This is such a fun pad!  Love it for kids projects.

And as I said above, I’ll be listing these cards for sale in the store as I know I won’t have use for them — at least not right now!  One can always wish — LOL!!!

Here they are all packaged, each in its own clear box for protection and packaging.  A card presented in a clear box makes a GREAT impression!

These are in A2 Clear Boxes.
