Yesterday afternoon I attended a bridal shower for a beautiful young lady who we have had the pleasure of watching grow up for the last 25 years. Being neighbors all of our children played together for years and years. There is just something almost bittersweet about such situations — the heartfelt wishes for a wonderful new life for Sarah and her soon-to-be husband, mixed in with feelings of nostalgia and a reminiscent sadness for all those days gone by. Life goes full circle. But enough reminiscing — on to the card I made for Sarah.  Her wedding colors are purple and green, such a gorgeous combination. The table decor at the shower was so simple and so gorgeous — limes immersed in water in clear cylindrical vases with a large deep purple flower floating on top. STUNNING!!! When Kaisercraft’s Violet Crush arrived last week I immediately knew it was the paper I had to use for Sarah’s card. It is in various shades of purples with a bit of pink, black and silver mixed in and just a touch of green.  Take a look at the card I made:

This card is 6.5″ x 4.75″, made to fit perfectly into an A6 Clear Box for gift presentation.

I like making cards this size, especially when I use Kaisercraft paper, which is 6.5″ x 6.5″.  I can use every bit of the beautiful design!

I thought this sentiment image with the swirly border went so well with the black swirls in this sheet of paper — love the combination!

The Labels Eight die shape is simple and elegant — perfect in my opinion!
