Later today we will be attending a 50th anniversary party at our church for our neighbors, John and Bernice, who are Deb Saaranen’s Mom and Dad. Deb has gotten very good at throwing together several parties each time she has the opportunity to be in the states for a few weeks. As soon as she got here she had a baby shower for her second grandchild due in several months.  So this is party #2 this trip.  Deb truly amazes me!  The request on the invitation was to bring no gifts, but please include a Bible verse for the couple to keep. I decided on 1 Corinthians 13, the love chapter.  This is a favorite stamp/verse of mine to use on wedding cards, but I think it works in perfectly for today’s anniversary card, so I made it the focal image of their card. Take a look:
