Royal Princess – by Heidi Blankenship

Everything about Heidi’s card today is very regal, beginning with the Princess paper collection by Prima and the beautiful dies from the A Gilded Life collection by Spellbinders. The Monarch die was used as one would expect, but Heidi took the Brocade die to another level, and she’ll show you how she did it on her blog post linked beneath the photo. Let’s just say she took a piece of May Arts 2.5″ Cotton Blend Ribbon (plain ribbon) and turned it into ribbon fit for a princess. Wonderful technique! Take a look:
See the wide ribbon on the left? Yes, it started out plain and this was achieved with a die!

Ink: Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Antique Linen; Mix’d Media Inx Chiffon
Dies: Spellbinders Dies from the A Gilded Life Collection:
Petite Monarch (border) and Vintage Brocade (used for the ribbon)
These offer such beautifully vintage options for your paper crafting projects. Though designed by Spellbinders to be able to cut/emboss heavier materials such as leather or plastic using the Spellbinders Media Mixáge Artisan X-plorer™ Machine, they work beautifully on paper in standard die cut machines used by papercrafters.
