Welcome to the Seasons Giving Blog Hop!

There are 18 companies and 114 designers participating, EACH OFFERING BLOG CANDY.  So grab yourself a cup of whatever you enjoy, check out all the blogs and their offerings up for grabs.  Be sure to read each blog for the details on their give-away.

The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store is so pleased to be a part of this year’s Seasons Giving Blog Hop.  Our offering of blog candy will be shown further down and I think you’ll like it!  However, I have a wedding card I made that I’d like to share with you first.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

I made this card for an older couple getting married this week. Their invitation was very formal in ivory and gold, thus my color/style choices. And I like stretching paper pads as far as they can go, so I was pleased to find these sheets in one of my Christmas paper pads, Yuletide by Kaisercraft.  PERFECT for this wedding card!

Paper: Yuletide by Kaisercraft – entire collection REDUCED!

Bazzill Mirror Cardstock – Gold

Stamps: Sentimental Damask Vintage Labels Eight NEW!!! {{{love}}} Fabulous sentiments in this set!

Ink: VersaMark Watermark Ink embossed with Ranger Super Fine Embossing Powder – Gold

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Here’s a closer look at the detail. Each die used was cut a second time from the gold mirror paper.  The gold die cut was then sliced in the center, allowing me to pull it out to show just a bit on the outer edges, if that makes sense.

Dies: JustRite Custom Die Vintage Labels Seven by Spellbinders (for sentiment)

JustRite Custom Die Vintage Labels Eight by Spellbinders (larger music panel and the gold embossed stamped panel)

Ribbon: May Arts 1.25″ Silk Ribbon – Ivory

Embellishment:  Kaisercraft Sparklet Rhinestone Clusters – Daffodil

Adhesives: Crafter’s Pick Ultimate Glue, Tape Runner, 3D Foam Squares

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

This is the inside using my favorite inside verse for a wedding card.

Stamp: 1 Corinthians by Our Daily Bread Design

Here’s the card all boxed up, perfectly protected and ready to go in an A6 Clear Box.

The card is made 4.75 x 6.5″ to fit perfectly into the A6 Clear Box.

I love embellishments – it’s probably the main reason I enjoy making cards. Adds the little extra personalization to the card. Fav: butterflies that I make from punches. I like adding clear gloss and/or folding the wings up on my butterfly embellishments. I also like adding miniature precious stone beads on a short wire (email me if you want to see a sample). I also like jute-textured self-adhesive ribbons, textured florals, copper-coloured glittery embellishments, unique bling (crystals), realistic-looking pearl cabochons, foam pieces, 2-holed buttons, twine, various organic embellishments, and felt shapes.

Sorry for the second post, but I forgot to answer your question. I love my silk ribbon that I’ve purchased from Stamp Simply Ribbon, but (as we’ve discussed before) I am very bad about sharing it on my cards…I don’t want to part with it!!!
