NEW My Mind’s Eye On Trend – by Sharon Johnson

We have two NEW collections in stock by My Mind’s Eye and as they say, both of these collections ‘got me at hello’. LOVE them muchly! Today I have two very clean and simple cards to share using papers from the On Trend collection. I relied on my good old standard layout that I always seem to fall back on – it’s simple and I love it, so what can I say – LOL! These paper collections have a LOT of gold foil in them, so I accented with a strip of Bazzill Mirror Cardstock and I cut my sentiments (Spellbinders) from the same gold foil. I think they’re kind of pretty! And they are certainly quick and easy. Take a look:

These are the two cards I made. All the gold is so shiny!

I used the same paper pad and same die set for both cards.

Paper: On Trend by My Mind’s Eye

Bazzill Mirror Cardstock – Gold

Dies: Spellbinders Die D-Lites Sentiments One

Ribbon: May Arts Metallic String – Gold, Bow made on the Bigger Bow Easy

Embellishments: Petaloo Botanica Minis – Coral

Adhesives: Tape Runner, Crafter’s Pick Ultimate Glue, Quickie Glue Pen, Mini Glue Dot

I thought this would be pretty for a wedding card this summer.

I used the smallest legs of the Bigger Bow Easy to wrap my string around for this bow. I think it was wrapped about 5 times. I adhere my bow with a glue dot to hold it in place, then I use the liquid glue to apply my flowers. I press and hold for a bit to make sure they “set up”. I’m a stickler for flower clusters being glued on super tight – no wiggly flower clusters here — LOL!

And what a simple birthday card, and totally flat for mailing!

The gold in the paper further accented by the gold strip and sentiment kick this super simple card up just that one notch to make it a bit special!

These sentiment dies are so fun to use. For these fine lined sentiments I like to use the Quickie Glue Pen to adhere them.

On Trend by My Mind’s Eye

Coordinating enamel dots and sequins in stock, too!

The graphic from MME does not do this paper collection justice, by any means. These sheets are just stunning with their gold foil accents – dots, stripes, script and graphic patterns. The reverse side of the sheets do not have metallic accents, only the fronts.

White, Tangerine, Soft Seafoam, NuRust

Good silk ribbon matches to this paper collection are:

White, Champagne, Mint Green

And here’s the other new pad I mentioned, not used today.
