Clear Boxes for Packaging

Published by at 7 00 am under Boxes, Bags, Containers

It’s that time of year when we are all thinking about putting together little gifts and treats and perhaps making up gift sets of cards, or even wanting to protect our dimensional cards. The Clear Boxes we stock in a variety of sizes and purchase options address all these needs. We here are totally addicted to our Clear Boxes! We use them for a variety of projects. For today’s post I’ve pulled up some projects showing you how we like to use our Clear Boxes. Here we go:

For a quick gift, just insert cards and envelopes and there you have it – a perfectly lovely gift.

The Clear Boxes we stock are 5/8″ thick and will hold up to 8 cards and envelops if the cards are perfectly flat.

I personally like to make up gift sets with 3 cards, as shown above.

Those 12 simple cards using die cuts that coordinate with the paper turned quickly into 4 little gifts!

This is a standard A2 size for cards that are 5.5 x 4.25″

This is another gift set of 3 cards with a simple belly band made to slip over the box.

Making your belly band to coordinate with your cards gives you a very polished look!

This again is A2 size.

This photo shows you the box with the card inside and with the box empty, simply decorated to coordinate with the card.

This box is 5.5″ square.

This box holds a set of 3 cards and envelopes, again, super quick cards.

I used a brown paper grocery sack for this belly band – it kind of went with the paper used for the cards.

Again, this is A2 size.

This box holds one card. I love to use these boxes for cards with a lot of bulk.

This box is an A6 Size. When using this box I make my cards 6.5″ x 4.75″. I often enjoy that little larger size as it gives me more room to embellish.

The box protects the card and makes for wonderful presentation.

People feel so very special when they get a card in a Clear Box – they truly DO!  Try it and see!!!

Did you know you can MAIL your bulky cards in clear boxes?

FIRST cut a sheet of white paper to fit perfectly inside the box.

WRITE the addresses (to and from) on the sheet and insert it inside the box, over the card, so it is visible.

SEAL the box ends with the round clear stickers provided.

APPLY postage stamp to the OUTSIDE of the box.

This is a box of 5/8″  thickness, so be sure to apply enough postage for the thickness and weight of your box.

AND  by doing this you’ll keep the postal workers amused!!! LOL!!!

I usually do bulky cards for weddings, ESPECIALLY if we are giving money in lieu of a gift.

When the cash or check is inserted into a card in a Clear Box, it at least ‘looks’ like a present!

This is 5.5″ square.

Just another couple of bulky cards in their own Clear Boxes.

Again, A2 size.

Here I have one card/envelope in each box, with 6 boxes stacked and tied together to make a gift.

This was made at special request. Someone wanted 6 baby thank you notes just to keep on hand.

I just thought it would be nice to keep each protected and ready to grab when needed.

Again, A2 size.

This photo serves two purposes.

What you see above are actually table favors I made for a ladies church group. I made 50 of the same card, inserted one card into each box, and they were placed at the dinner table as favors. They all had Bible verses on them.  They weren’t actually a card that opens, but a flat card, kind of looking like a recipe card with a tab on top. I considered putting magnets on the back to make them frig magnets, but I didn’t have enough magnet on hand, so that part never happened.

Also, this shows you how I store my cards at home.  Once I make a card, if I don’t have an immediate use for it, it goes into a box and is “filed” by category – birthday, baby, get well, wedding, sympathy, etc. Then when I go to grab a card I know it is always neat and in perfect condition.

Here Heidi made a colorful gift for Easter, inserting the candy with a pretty belly band.

Who wouldn’t LOVE this pretty treat.

(I do NOT believe these boxes are classified as food grade.)

This box is 5.5″ square.

This is a Christmas gift box of wrapped mini bars that Darsie made.

Talk about a WOW presentation for a simple little gift!

This is just darling! Here Barb made a headband and dressed up a simple pair of white stockings for a baby girl.

She inserted a piece of decorator paper in the back of the box that coordinates with the card she made.

A beautifully coordinated baby gift!

I’m not sure what size box this is, but we stock the rectangular boxes in A2, A6 and A7.

This is another clever idea from Barb.

She merely attached her box with clear tape to the front of the gift bag.

What a quick and clever way to dress up the gift bag without taking any time to do it!

And although we’ve been talking Clear Boxes today, maybe you prefer the card sleeves for single cards.

We have those, too! Another wonderful way to protect a single, flatter card.
