Welcome! Today begins a full week of Valentine inspiration and we are all super excited! I have a card to show you today, made with nothing more than paper and ribbon (truly!), and then I’ll show you the huge variety of Valentine paper pads we have in stock along with links to other fun products for the season. Let’s start with my card:

Lots of shine here, making it very difficult to get a good picture. There was glare no matter what I tried, so I have a few pics to share in an effort to show you the pretty embossing along with the layers, ribbon and fun focal image.

My card is 5.5″ square and will fit into the 5.5″ Square Clear Box.

The card base, the embossed sheet and the mat layers are all from the gold mirror cardstock.

The focal image is one heart cut from adhesive sequin heart ribbon, and my sheer ribbon in the background has gold sparkles as well.

(Yes, the heart ribbon is peel and stick and it sticks TIGHT.)

The embossing folder is a fun heart design – it’s actually a 2-sided folder with 2 different heart designs.

This view probably shows the embossing the best – fun folder!

Here’s what I used:

Paper: Bazzill Mirror Cardstock – Gold

White Cardstock

Embossing Folder: Spellbinders M-Bossabilities – Hearts

Dies: Spellbinders Square Nesties

Ribbon: May Arts 1.5″ Adhesive Sequin Hearts – Gold

May Arts 1.5″ Sheer w/Glitter Dots – Gold

Adhesives: Scor Tape, 3D Foam Squares

These are 2-sided folders, so you get 2 design options!

Another fun embossing folder you might like to check out is Twisted Hearts.

Dry embossing adds a lot of texture and class to a project.

Try embossing the mirror or metallic cardstock and it’s an instant WOW!
