WOW!!! Today’s watercolored creation by Heidi is a true show stopper!  The intense color on these beautiful embossed poppies truly jumps right off the page at you – off the page and into your heart. And Heidi shows us how she created these beauties so you can try one, too. Take a look:

This is one of those creations that I just can’t turn my eyes away from.

The poppies are dry embossed onto watercolor paper. Heidi then used Distress Inks to watercolor.

Paper: Ranger Watercolor Paper

Ink: Tim Holtz Distress Inks

Colors used: Abandoned Coral, Festive Berries, Aged Mahogany, Tumbled Glass, Broken China, Shabby Shutters, Peeled Paint, Gathered Twigs, Black Soot – many colors reduced!

Ribbon: May Arts 1/4″ Silk – Black

Embellishments: Prima Say It In Crystals Combo Pack – A Victorian Christmas

Accents: Zig Wink of Stella Glitter Brush Marker – Clear

Adhesives: Scor Tape, 3D Foam Squares

Deb used the same embossing folder as Heidi used today – Poppy Field.

Each card is equally as lovely, but as different as can be.
