Our offering of blog candy will be shown further down and I think you’ll like it!
I do have a few cards I made that I’d like to share with you first.
__________
I actually had some time to play in my stamp room this morning and I knew I wanted to pull out some of the beautiful Altenew florals. I also wanted to increase my stash of cards on hand and I wanted to keep my creations simple and flat for mailing, so that’s just what I did. I made 4 cards using Altenew’s Dahlia Blossoms.
The first two I made are gray and white – very simple.
Only the sentiments are pop-dotted up and with THIN dots.
And the second two are a bit fancier in gold and kraft. They were just as easy to make, they just look a little more elegant with the gold foil.
Stamps: Dahlia Blossoms by Altenew (florals)
Floral Shadow by Altenew (sentiments)
Dahlia Blossoms is a multi-step stamp, made to be stamped in 3 layers. For this card I only used the outline layer, and I LOVE it used this way! Simple and clean.
Ink: VersaFine Smokey Gray (on white cardstock)
VersaMark embossed with Super Fine Embossing Powder – White (on gray cardstock)
Stamps: Dahlia Blossoms by Altenew (florals and Bloom sentiment)
Floral Shadow by Altenew (sentiment)
Paper: Gold Kraft Foil 6×6 by Bazzill
Bazzill Mirror Cardstock – Gold
Ink: Delicata – Golden Glitz
For this floral design I used the middle detailed stamp of the three-step stamps. I really like how it looks like a vintage tapestry design. I used the Golden Glitz Delicata to stamp and it is just stunning. This is an AMAZING ink. It can be stamped and used as is with a beautiful shine OR it can be embossed. It’s a favorite ink of our entire Design Team.
The above photos don’t really capture just how pretty the Delicata ink is. Thus this photo, just trying to get a hint of the glimmer and glitz of the Delicata. This is just straight stamping, no embossing. LOVE how easy it is! It’s so gorgeous!
Other items used on these cards:
Paper: Coredinations Heavyweight Smooth White Cardstock
Dies: Spellbinders A2 Matting Basics B
Spellbinders A Gilded Life Petite Pennants
Spellbinders Classic Squares
Adhesives: EZ Runner, 3D Foam Squares
All items available at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store, as linked.

I know a lot of people have moved on to Valentine’s Day cards, but I’m still making/in mood for winter/snow cards (lots of snow where I live). Nature scenes, snowflakes, and snowmen are my current main themes. Love your ribbon store!

I have been looking for the “right” gold ink for years & I finally found it! The Gold Delicata is perfect-I’ve bookmarked it so I can buy some. I was way behind on my Christmas cards this year. Since all my Christmas crafty stuff is still out, I’ve decided to get a head start on next year. I want to do some step cards and pop-ups. Wishing you & yours a safe and happy 2017!

Lately I have been making CAS cards but I want to take time to make more elegant cards, to challenge my creativity. The best to your in 2017.
The cards you presented here are beautiful, Sharon! Thank you for making them simple for me! I don’t have much time to be creative with my cards anymore because of caring for my elderly mother. However, in spite of this time-consuming event, it’s humbling that my husband helps me greatly. As a result, creating wedding, baby, Christmas, and sympathy cards are priorities when the need arises. Having many CAS ideas are the way to accomplish this priority! Thanks again, and blessings to you and your staff in 2017!
Thanks for a year of great inspiration! Right now I’m in the mood for beautiful CAS cards, after all the holiday glitz and glamor! Beautiful, simple messages about love would be perfect!
Warm New Year Wishes!
Michele
I would like some inspiration for cards you can include in a gift set for teachers. I don’t necessarily want ones you can easily make in multiples, but rather a variety that can be included in a set. I am thankful for this hop that that is introducing me to to so many cool blogs like this one. Thanks for the opportunity to win some crafty playthings. May you have a happy and prosperous 2017.
Oh my, what beautiful ribbons. Thank you for being part of the blog hop.
Love the classy look to your cards. Elegant, really. I am gearing up to make some coffee cards…even thinking of using a shaker card for it. Doesn’t that sound fun?
I have birthday cards to make so that’s what I’m focusing on. That gold ink is gorgeous. I will have to check that out.
Thanks for an awesome giveaway, Loved the cards above. I will be making thinking of you or Just because cards this year, been working on mixing different pattern papers I have a hard time with this most of the time. Happy 2017!
I’d love to see cards that are simple with bold colors.
I love scenic cards but I could sure see more elegant cards like the ones you made with the gold. Beautiful!
I have been making thank you cards for Xmas gifts. In some cases I have included portions of the card, gift tag or wrapping paper that was a part of the gift. I feel it gives a more personal touch.
Happy New Year! I’m interested in seeing more CAS cards i.e. less flowers and bows. Cards intended for fellas are always interesting!
Beautiful cards! I’m in the mood for bright colors, so I’m thinking birthday cards (can never have too many of those!). Thank you for the opportunity to win, and…Happy New Year!!
Lovely cards! I love CAS cards and would like to see Valentines or Wedding cards. Thanks for the chance to win.
I’m new to card making. I love seeing the unique finishes and new products!
I make a lot of cards to submit to magazines, so I’m often making cards in the opposite season from when most people make them. Right now, I’m working on summer & fall submissions. 🙂 I typically like a cleaner & simpler style. HAPPY NEW YEAR! What a fun hop! Thank you for the chance to win such a great prize!
Love the Delicata ink. Thank you for your generosity and Happy New Year.

Sharon, you are one of the first stampers I started following way back when and you’ve helped me so much with your tutorials. I have a lot of designer paper I’d like to use up, and also enjoy your simple designs for all occasions. I’d love some updated ideas for gifting card sets of 6 with different layouts and using up some of my ribbon stash!!
