A Sweet Pleated Skirt – by Deb Felts

I always love the creativity Deb uses when making her cards. She transfers her sewing skills over to papercrafting so effortlessly and the results are always so spectacular. Do you remember the dress bodice Deb did a few months back? Well, if not, I’ll post it below this card so you can see. This is just all too much fun. Take a look at today’s creation:
This dress reminded me of so many I wore as school girl. My Mom was a wonderful seamstress and she would make most all of our clothes. I had one particular outfit with box pleats like this that I especially loved. It was a dress-up outfit in red, not wool but heavier fabric for winter, and it had a coordinating top with 3/4 sleeves and a rounded collar. Oh, such memories!
Deb used a double-sided paper but she also glued in the blue check that shows inside.
I love that the belt portion coordinates with the inside of the pleats.
As always, a lovely floral cluster with tulle and faux canvas for the bow.
Gorgeous!
