Our son and daughter-in-law celebrated their 7th anniversary last week. They were going with the traditional gifts of copper for a 7th anniversary, so I decided to make an anniversary card with a bit of copper to go with the flow! The True Love collection by Kaisercraft is a beautiful pad with copper accents, so I knew I had to use that paper. It’s a simple card with some copper shimmer and shine. Take a look:

In addition to the copper in the patterned paper, I matted that sheet with a beautiful copper cardstock, used a sparkly copper string and embossed my sentiments in copper.

This was a quick make, and I always like that!

Plus it was rather flat for mailing.

I also added a coppery colored gem in the large flower center — can you see it?

There is just a touch of extra glitter on the flowers that I applied using a glue pen.

The anniversary sentiment is included in our All Occasion Sentiments SET 1.

I embossed the inside sentiment with copper as well.

The inside sentiment is from our Thinking of You Rose stamp set.

I was pleasantly surprised at how well I liked the combination of pink and copper!
