But here’s the answer to the #1 question — YES, these kits are ready for you to use.  All you need to add is paper and ink and you can create.  They contain the Wood Stamper, the outside borders and the inside font (alphabet letters).  The Curlz and Special Occasions Kits also have 3 fun centers you can use!

The Damask Monogram Kit is my favorite for quick, easy and classy single initial monograms.

The Damask Monogram Kit contains:  1 5/8″ Wood Stamper, Times New Roman 36 Character Font Set in uppercase 95 pt. font, plus bonus flourishes and symbols in a stackable type storage container, 3 interchangeable Damask borders.

This gift set of 6 cards and a box was made using the Damask Monogram Set, however, I used Special Occasions Font from the Special Occasions Monogram Set.  Times New Roman Font comes with the Damask Monogram Set, but as with all JustRite product, all fonts are interchangable, expanding your options.  I made this Gift Set last year for the JustRite Blog, and you can read directions to recreate this project here, complete with a tutorial on making the box!

#3) YES, you can use the 1 5/8″ Wood Stampers in these Monogram sets with other stamps.  Any stamp set made by JustRite that says it fits the 1 5/8″ Wood Stamper will work with the stampers in these Monogram Kits.  So, YES, A Merry Little Christmas Set, selling for $15.95 is a logical add-on so you can make Christmas cards.  Here it is:

#5) You purchased some Font Sets when JustRite had their huge Font Sale a while back.  Do you still need to purchase a Monogram Kit to make monograms?   No, you don’t — All you need is to have a 1 5/8″ Wood Stamper which can be purchased separately for $8.95, some font (which you have already purchased), and some borders for the finishing touch to the monogram look.  The 3 Damask Borders are available separately for $6.95.  Another option is the From the Desk of/Library of/Kitchen of Borders, also available separately for $6.95.  Here’s a picture of those sets.

This sample shows the From The Desk of border with a monogram in the center using Times New Roman Front.  Purchasing this set gives more options to any of your monogram projects.  Also, I made this card before I owned any Nestabilities — just so you know, you CAN make monograms if your only cutting option is a paper cutter.  My favortie Nestabilities by Spellbinders have come to be the Petite Circle, Classic Oval and Petite Oval Nestability sets.  I sell them in the FULL sets of 2 ring sets and 2 scalloped sets per package — for a total of 4 sets per package.  I feel this is the best way to purchase them, giving you the most options and the most bang for your buck.  They are $79.99 per package. — photo coming –

As I’m trying to catch up  from 2 days of no internet service, and as I know we all LOVE our ribbon, I wanted to link you to this Bow Tying Tutorial prepared by my sweet friend, Carolina Buchting.  Carolina shows us how to prepare what she calls her Classic Bow that her Grandmother taught her.

…of JustRite.  Clean and simple, fresh and fun.  IF you want it to be — and today, I did!  This doesn’t get much more clean and simple, and it fit my mood perfectly today!

After making Tanya’s card the other day with this same image, I had a few of these stamped and laying around my kitchen, so I colored this up quickly today while making dinner.  I do find if I leave stamped images and my Copics in the kitchen, that I color much more frequently than if they are all in my stamp room — so in the kitchen they now reside — whatever works!

Paper is SU Textured Almost Amethyst.  My image was colored, then cut out and mounted onto the circle with SU Dimensionals.  And don’t ask me WHY I had to cut it out — just remember, I WAS making dinner at the same time — LOL!!!  Take it from there!!!  See the little white flower centers?  Such a little thing, but adding them makes SUCH a difference.  They were done with a Signo White Gel Pen.  LOVE this image from the Friendship Set by JustRite.

My favorite bow treatment of recent, using Celery Silk Ribbon and the Bow Easy.  You can read this post to see how I do this.  The bow is glued on with Aleene’s Fast Grab Tacky Glue — REALLY lovin’ that stuff — it holds tight, the nozzle doesn’t plug, and it’s at Wal-Mart for very little money.  You can see some glue on my bow.  It will dry clear, I was just too impatient to wait.

Hi everyone. Many of you are aware I’ve been experiencing blogging issues for about 2 weeks — the *guys* in the know are diligently working on it, and needed me to do a test run, so this is it!

I will say I just added some FUN Journal Notes by Crafty SecretstotheStamp Simply Ribbon Store(tab above my blog header). I hope to make a sample using them tonight, but until then, I did this card using the Birds and Botanicals pad a few days ago. Fun little pads — check them out!

Just a quick Bow Easy update — I devoted the entire Memorial Day Weekend to billing and shipping out your Bow Easy orders and I’ve made GREAT progress. My goal is to have made contact with everyone who has placed an order by the time I go to bed tonight — I’m trying real hard to reach that goal!!! RED, WHITE AND BLUE - This being Memorial Day Weekend, patriotic colors come to mind, so let’s create today using red, white and blue; HOWEVER, you do NOT have to use the traditional flag shades of these colors - you may use ANY variation of these colors you like, as long as your creation contains some shade of red, white and blue. A masculine grad card in the traditional red, white and blue! This grad’s party is on Memorial Day Weekend, so I thought it would fit. All images are gold embossed. The card is personalized with both the graduates initials and year, but by using the graduation border from one of the new JustRite sets, Favorite Occasions Set, this still lends itself to being a rather fast card. I like to use the Pinking Circles Nesties for grad/school themed cards a I think it makes the circular image look like a badge or medallion a student might receive for achievement — makes it fun! Then adding 3 strands of the 1/4″ Silk Ribbon adds to the medallion look. Here’s what I used:

Times New Roman Uppercase Font was used for both the monogrammed medallion center as well as the year. The monogram was used on a 1 5/8″ Wood Stamper and the 2009 was used on a Rectangle Stamper. I punched the monogram with an SU 1 1/4″ punch. The Congrats border is from the new Favorite Occasions Set, also used with the 1 5/8″ Wood Stamper. My border of cap/diploma images is also from the new Favorite Occasions Set, stamped repeatedly and embossed to create the border strip, also used on the 1 5/8″ Wood Stamper. That’s about it — not difficult at all, yet this simple personalization makes it so special to the recipient! And I also LOVE gold or silver embossing on graduation cards — it classes them up so nicely — after all, graduation is an event deserving of something special!
