Today I have a clean and simple gift card holder that I made for our pastor who is leaving the area.

As you can see , it’s a quick project.  The verse was perfect for him – Jeremiah 29:11 by Verve, stamped in Versa Fine Onyx Black Ink.  The cross, also in the small set, was stamped in Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Weathered Wood.

The paper is from A Proper Gentleman by Graphic 45.

Here’s the inside.  I have used this fold for year and years.  I picked the score instructions up years ago at SCS and this has been a go-to gift card holder for me ever since.  Here’s how:

Use 1/2 sheet of paper – 5.5 x 8.5″

Score at 2″ and 6″.

The 2″ flap is the bottom pocket, and the 2.5″ flap is the top. (Today I flipped it on its side)

That’s it!  See why I use it so often!

I do like to use Velcro for closures — just my preference.  They  are inexpesive and work without fail.  I realize there are magnetic closures out there — Velcro is just my preference.  The problems I’ve had with the magnetic closures is that they hold closed SO tight, that in pulling to open it up, the magnetic piece pulls off the card at times.  Just my experience.

As to papers for masculine projects — there are a few pads that I think of as real *keepers*.  I’ll keep them in stock as long as they are available as they suit my  masculine needs to a T.  Here are the ones I like:
